If a picture is worth a thousand words, hopefully a video will bring a conversation. Putting this problem into words proved problematic so here's a video to help explain what is going on. Background: The game worked fine for awhile. Suddenly, in the middle of a game, this problem develops. I have been over schematics, all the boards, I have looked at plugs, I have replaced several suspect components, all to no avail. If the fault solenoid is connected, it fires immediately and F4(aux power board) blows. Sometimes F7 blows. Getting to where I start to pull out what's left of my hair. Any and all help graciously accepted!

On the fault problem, I would guess a 'going bad' solenoid or maybe a bad diode for that solenoid that I believe is located on one of the boards.

Tested the solenoid and the diode on the board and both read within standards.

Well, you've got a short somewhere from the wires leaving the sol. back up the line.

Sounds like Transistors or an ic on the pcb
