I just got an Earthshaker a few days ago. I saw that the connector at G7 for the GI was burnt to a crisp, literally. J7 is 10-pins, they had a 5 pin connector on it without any key. I pulled the board, replaced the header pins, and pulled out the manual to see what the configuration is supposed to be for the wiring on J7. The manual calls for 6 wires, I only had 5. The manual says I am supposed to have an orange wire at pin 5, which was not there when I got the game and I don't see an orange wire laying around in the backbox. I checked my Taxi and it does have the orange wire that I am missing from ES.

I also noticed there was only one wire on J11 on the interconnect board. I thought this seemed a little odd so I looked at the manual. The manuals says there should be a lot more on this connector. I believe it's a 16 pin connector and according to the manual there is supposed to be wires to most all of the pins on this connector.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this and / or someone have an Earthshaker that can check their game to see what they have on J7 and J11.

Quoted from blubboman:

This site has a good pic. one wire on J11. Good pic on J7 with 5 wires. That is general illumination (GI) and is likely burned up. Super common on all System11 games.

That is a great picture! It appears my J11 and J7 are correct then. Thanks for posting the link with the picture!
