I'm restoring an Earthshaker at the moment.
I just pulled out the institute, it was held in by smooshing it in the hole with a block of wood.
Does anyone have a pic of how this should be mounted?

I should probably spring for the sinking mod considering that it's not attached to anything anyway however, I'd like to get it back to spec.

Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

That makes a lot more sense

Mine had, instead of the nice neat bracket, a chunk of wood crammed in the empty space.

That wasn't the worst hack either. The back box is FILLED with wire caps and electrical tape.

I'm figuring the last owner was a residential electrician.

I'll post pics when I get over the trauma

The institutes screw mounts broke. This must have prompted the last owner to jam a block of wood behind it to keep it in place without the screws.

Sooooo this sucks bigtime. Does anyone have an institute to sell?

I could have my friend print one however, I'd have to model it. I'd rather a more plug and play solution.
