I’m thinking of adding another pinball table, and was thinking about an early SS machine (numeric display).

When I’ve played these types of games, I’ve always enjoyed the tension created by a rising tone or a quickening beat as the bonus increases. I’ve looked additional virtual tables, as well as videos of tables to try to put together a list of tables that include this feature:

Gorgar Williams 1979
Meteor Stern 1979
Fathom Bally 1980
Fireball II Bally 1980
Firepower Williams 1980
Xenon Bally 1980
Centaur Bally 1981
Flash Gordon Bally 1981
Black Knight Williams 1980 (beat quickens as count-down)

Of course, the gorgeous artwork on some of the fantasy tables of this era is also a draw.

Any other tables I should be considering?

Stern's Ali pinball has a rising background tone while playing.

The Gorgar heart beat is awesome when it starts pounding fast.

My Fireball II has this feature, but it is usually switched off. Every so often I cut it back on. Annoying after a while..........
