Where can I get a suitable protection nail/tack thing that is on the front of the cabinet. When you open the coin door enough, the coin return button hits the cabinet face. It is the little shiny circle in the image to the left of the coin door. I have two cabinets I restored and there is nothing except me being careful from damaging my new paint. I cannot find anything like this that looks right.

Why not just put a very nice shiny headed nail there? Or maybe a #6 x 1/2" truss head screw?

I've used side rail nails in the past. They're a pretty close replacement, just a tad smaller surface area.

Attach a chain on the inside of the door to limit how far it can open.

Would a small thumbtack work?

Maybe Chrome/Nickel upholstery tacks/nails?

Nickel plated or stainless coin door carriage bolt looks great. If you don't want to drill all the way through the cabinet a McMaster Carr 9563K82 hole plug looks good but it will need epoxied in place.

The coin door bolt idea is a great one, I have a bunch of spares too.

Sorry for not replying soone Pinside unsubscribed me from my own thread and I only just noticed.
