    Item description

My Frontier project is missing the backbox hinges, this is the same type as my Flash Gordon on the picture and not the later run Fathom type. Thanks!

For FG any commercial hinge will work. It’s a standard hinge. eBay will have many

Nah, I spent weeks looking for the right one.

    #9 1 year ago

They are pretty easy to find

    #10 1 year ago

They are just flat standard hinges. The later ones like fathom and centaur are the ones hard to find

    #11 1 year ago

Search on zoro. You will the exact size hinge

    #12 1 year ago

This is the correct FG hinge.

They are not, I spent weeks looking for the exact lift off hinge used.

I'm looking for them too and these are not exactly correct but are nice. You can either alter the hole pattern or drill your own holes to match. I think this is what I'm going to do.

ohhh those looks nice, i'll order a few and try it out. Looks like the screws on my FG are different size, 5/8" unto the head and 3/4" in the cabinet.

I spoke to pps about making these, but he needs a sample.

if the ones i bought online works i could replace the factory ones on my FG and send them as sample?

Either one of these should work great. amazon.com link »

The hinge is not deep enough, the screws will intersect the 45 degree cut and not enough meat so will rip out the wood.

    Ask how I know.

    Been there, tried it.

    Yes.

Worst case scenario would be to get longer screws and maybe shim the hinge if needed. Once the head is up and bolted it does almost nothing.

I printed out the PDF from Guden and the outside two holes line up on the 3 hole one I linked. Just the one center hole is different and would need to be re-drilled into the cabinet / backbox. The old holes will be covered up so no big. That's what I ordered. One RH and one LH. I think it's the best option I've come across.

The screws stick out the overhang over the playfield glass.

Alright, i tried the hinges from Guden, they work well, size and holes are a bit all over the place so need to be careful they are installed in the right place for head to stand up in the right place and get the bolt from head through into cabinet nuts.

3rd picture is comparing Bally original on the left to the new one from Guden

Pinball_Basement if you PM me about PPS remaking those, i can either sent you the one i took out from my FG or send it to PPS directly?
