If it is like Nip-it then it may have it's own frame and glass for it.

Fireball has an integrated playfield glass and frame, and the whole thing lifts up as one piece. Other early 70's Bally's have it too.

Mike,

I have one that came of a 1968 Bally machine parts machine. They whole apparatus opens like car hood. The glass is also a bit smaller.

Let me know if you are interested.

i can confirm the whole top lifts up on champ as well .. the glass and the frame is one assembly and the glass is slightly different size to modern machines
