We purchased a rare self flipping johnny mnemonic pinball machine, build by Philips.

On display at the dutch pinball museum this summer.

    #14 3 years ago

Are these games really outside the entire summer? Won't they be ruined? I'll take the safecracker if it needs a good home.

What next - Man vs Machine cage match? When will machines be content with what they have and quit trying to take over the world?

No, of course they won't. They were now outside on display in front of the building where the misery is to be housed in the coming months.

So the view will remain but pins inside

    #17 3 years ago

Might want to move the pins to a more secure area before opening a Museum. High tide or a Storm surge might wipe out the games, even a wayward tug boat might hit them.

    LOL LOL

    Fun! Bump.

Today we received some very exciting news, that we can put a really rare item on display in the Museum!

Private collector S. Verhoog will loan his very rare Bally Congo Decals to our Museum.

On the right side you see the original Williams decals and on the left side you see the very rare Bally decals. Most likely the only set on the planet!

Damn, we are very trilled about this.

Awesome news, and so well deserved, Gerard van der Sanden breathes and lives pinball.
He is a custodian of pinball history,i met him a couple of times, mostly during pinball dealing and to me it was quite obvious he was the one to set up this epic museum.
You just go mute and listen..
He looks at your pins and points you at hidden things in the code, epic cool stories behind the machines and...you have to ask him if he can show you his insane flipper trick on the matrix,unreal..
Folks might think a dutch guy bought a bunch of pinball machines and rented a place to charge a fee, but you are in for an experience visiting Gerard's museum.
Very charismatic, intriguing guy who dedicated his life( quit his VERY good running business) to pinball.
Put a visit to the museum on top of your list when you are in Rotterdam.

    #39 2 years ago

I was at the museum today.
The whole day and it was amazing.

Very big thank you to Gerard and his wife.

It is a great location and a lot of seldom pinball machines and bits and pieces.

    Fully a visit worth.
I cam especially from Austria to Netherlands.

You can have a look in a few days on a lot of pictures on my facbookpage (www.facebook.com/rspinball)
