Don't get on pinside much so I apologize if this is a duplicate.

I just picked up a a Bally Dungeons and Dragons machine. Would like to do a minor restore in it.

I looked at the parts manual on ipdb but could find any of the parts doing a Google search.... So here's what I'm after...

1) insert decals for the game. Can't find them anywhere.

2) games uses unique flippers. Only one is bad. Any out there?

3) topper and topper assembly... Mine just has big holes in the top.

4) translate trim pieces... Part numbers not found anywhere on Google... Any one today's standard trim pieces work?

Thanks in advance for any help.

LM

Were the ridged flipper bats originally used on this game, or just plain yellow flipper bats?

The original parts listing says 0365-00984-0300 - flipper w/shaft; molded (yellow) (3 req'd)

http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/20-9592-6

[edit]: Hmm...I can't seem to find a yellow flipper bat without the "W" logo. Must be why the ridged flipper bat was used.

[edit2]: Ah, here we go: http://bayareaamusements.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=BAA&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=FB-A-3994-6

Check this thread out...maybe they can help

I also have an empty D&D PF in much better condition if you're interested.

I am quite sure that standard translite trim pieces are the ones you need. I just checked my machine and they look the same as on my other machines. The ridged flippers are also on my machine although they might have been replaced at one time or another. However the purple kraken and green sea creature did not come on my machine.....

It's a beholder and a carrion. Sheesh, non D&D people

See if this helps at all. I would recommend either just playing it and enjoying the game (you don't need the numbers on the flames) or restoring and clear coating the playfield. If your looking for help, try this: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/dungeons-and-dragons-rebuild

Just finished it up and had it down to MGC. With a cleared playfield, it plays super fast and it's ALOT more fun.

The ridged bats are the correct ones for the game. http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/20-9592-6

There is no cross reference for the old Bally numbers, your going to have to get creative or do a lot of digging. I was able to find everything I needed to get mine done, just have to match the parts up.

The trim is standard translite trim. http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/03-822X-X

That should work fine

Ok so I bought some insert decals - haven't put them on yet, but it turns out that I don't need a new playfield or anything. this thing cleaned up much better than I thought. Id like a topper, but the one person on pinside that had one wanted about double what I am willing to pay so I will go without. Here's pics on the playfield and such...

Yup, mine also has slight bubbling on the Mylar, but really doesn't seem to affect the game.

Have any of you had an issue with getting a Check field fuse or FU1 fuse error when balls enter the teleport? The fuses all check out ok. I have replace the power board with a new board and replaced the ball trough option boards.

#26 6 years ago

I meant ball trough opto boards.
