Hey guys, have noticed that my star wars dmd is not as bright as my other machines.

things i've done prior to try and fix this....

I had the power supply rebuilt by a tech and noticed no change.
I swapped the dmd with my other machines....no change. star wars dmd bright in other machines
I swapped the dmd board with other machines...no change
I installed a new ribbon cable...no change

When i first bought the machine it had a nice bright screen. this changed once i installed a red dmd cover....even though it was all put back together exactly how it was prior...

Is there something else i could check or look into? Its not a huge deal as the machine works, but it does bother me no matter how much i try to ignore it and its got me curious as to what it could be.

Anyone have any ideas please share them.

Thanks.

The red DMD cover is sapping a lot of your brightness. It's narrowing the band of light able to escape by way of filtering. That's all.

My other machines have the red covers on. Its a Star Wars only issue as like i said ive swapped many parts out from the other machines and Star Wars still stays dull.

Did you clean both sides of the clear plastic in front of the DMD with Novus 2?
Normally it is dirty on both sides and makes the DMD look dull even without a red cover and a new orange DMD.

yes they are cleaned. its got nothing to do with dmd covers etc dmds have been tested in this machine without any covers and still produce a duller dmd image than other machines.

Can you post a picture or video?
Likely then has a lower voltage coming out of your power supply.
Measure the -112v, -100v, 68v on SW and against the power supply in either LAH or JP or both.
Do you see a difference?
