Driving through pa tomorrow, from toledo to lake harmony. Anything i need to stop and see or do? Any games for sale along the way? Family friendly pinball places? May end up going to nyc, but want to see whats out in eastern pa that ive never been to. Labor day weekend so most places will be busy!

    Quoted from tp:

Knoebels old school amusement park is pretty cool, also has a few pins and is on your route. Also I'm home from work tomorrow and only short distance from lake harmony and got a bunch of pins to play .

I will probably be getting in town pretty late friday since i wont leave until 4, but thanks for the offer! Awesome collection! I think knoebels will be on the list to do

    Quoted from Jiggly_Martian:

I have a few games in Bethlehem twp.

    Jokerz
    Pinball pool
    Silverball Mania

Sunshine is a must if i go. Id like to check out a maiden le or premium as im hoping to buy a pro soon and want to see how the pre stacks up. Id like to check out deadpool too. Wings and bleu cheese sounds great! Lots of ideas! The wife wants to go on the trip just for the restaurants. I like oddball local places, not chain restaurants. This is only my 3rd time spending any time in pa, so kind of excited to explore the state

    Quoted from Puffdanny:

Get that jokerz for a good price, fix it up,and sell it to me

If youre interested i can probably pick it up for you

    Quoted from mbaumle:

It's also free to park and free to enter, amkoepfer! If you're a rides guy, you can get a wristband. Definitely ride "Flying Turns" if you go. It's literally a one of a kind ride. Only one in the world like it.

So is it just pay per ride or wristband? I like that better than paying 50 or so a person since my wife is pregnant and cant ride anything

    #17 5 years ago

Sounds like ill be going there.

    #18 5 years ago

Thanks for all the ideas, im sure ill be adding stops along the way!!

Op thunder is a good game, just really want a maiden. As of now it looks like we are staying by knobels, but i hopefully will make it other places as well. Pinballpa sounds pretty sweet too!

    Quoted from yfz450:

If your staying around Knobels, stop over at Chris, Coin Taker, new shop. He is right up the street from Knobels and has a Maiden Pro and Pre setup for you to try.

Awesome, thanks for the advice! I have a couple things i need from them anyways!

    #26 5 years ago

Ok thanks. I emailed him to find out if they will be open this weekend. I need a shaker motor and a few other things anyways so it works out! Any must see places to eat in that area?

Loaded and ready. Just enough room for the family. At least until the next kid. Gottliebs sure are big!! Im delivering the game in lake harmony pa, 466 miles each way, i must really want a maiden

Pretty disappointed, cointaker is closed this weekend!

    #33 5 years ago
    Quoted from tp:

I can offer you and your wife a free whitewater rafting trip in the morning to curb your disappointment. Located just off route 80 near white haven.

Thank you for the offer, but unfortunately my wife cant raft for the next 9 months or so. Pennsylvania has some great hospitality!

    Quoted from Butch2099:

I have an Avatar Pro, Al's Garage Band, Spider-Man Red and a Demolition Man that was restored by Eric Bundy (haven't listed that yet)
Not far from the Sands Casino in Bethlehem. Dorney park is nearby, The Great Allentown fair is going (166th year) and the Iron Pigs minor league team has a really nice stadium (Phillies). Crayola factory for the little ones is also close.

Crayola factory sounds interesting. And the fair!

Wipeout was delivered today to a first time pinhead for his vacation house in the poconos. Now its time for some fun!

So far at knoebels i have found: tom, star wars, tz, got, star trek, potc

    #37 5 years ago
    Quoted from Anonymouse:

Not mentioned but Knobles has one of the absolute legendary wood rollercoasters, the Phoenix. Not the biggest but the zero gravity swoops at the end makes it a must ride

Phoenix was awesome! My kid had a blast and i had to buy more tickets to ride it a few more times. It reminded me of the blue streak at cedar point. But longer and better

Paid a visit to cointaker even though they were closed. I was pretty sad, but looks like a nice new building. Ill have to swing by next time im out here
