Driving through pa tomorrow, from toledo to lake harmony. Anything i need to stop and see or do? Any games for sale along the way? Family friendly pinball places? May end up going to nyc, but want to see whats out in eastern pa that ive never been to. Labor day weekend so most places will be busy!

    #2 2 years ago

    Helicon Brewing has 18 games.

    https://www.facebook.com/heliconbrewing/

18 games, lots of LE games, JJP Pirates of the Caribbean, Lexy Lightspeed, TNA, Iron Maiden LE and Deadpool!

    #8 2 years ago

wrap around through buffalo on the way back..pocketeer billiards has 70 games, including the new dead pool.

oh. and if you get wings...duffs not anchor bar, blue cheese not ranch.

If in NYC go to Sunshine Laundromat, if near Philly, try Pincrossing at Railroad Street restaurant

    #10 2 years ago

Sunshine is a must if i go. Id like to check out a maiden le or premium as im hoping to buy a pro soon and want to see how the pre stacks up. Id like to check out deadpool too. Wings and bleu cheese sounds great! Lots of ideas! The wife wants to go on the trip just for the restaurants. I like oddball local places, not chain restaurants. This is only my 3rd time spending any time in pa, so kind of excited to explore the state

    #11 2 years ago

Get that jokerz for a good price, fix it up,and sell it to me

It's also free to park and free to enter, amkoepfer! If you're a rides guy, you can get a wristband. Definitely ride "Flying Turns" if you go. It's literally a one of a kind ride. Only one in the world like it.

So is it just pay per ride or wristband? I like that better than paying 50 or so a person since my wife is pregnant and cant ride anything

It's pay per ride and wristband .. free parking , pins .. best place around

Anyone can walk around for free

What he said. You can literally just pay for one ride, and leave, and it'll only cost you a couple bucks. Or you can get the wristband and ride all the rides all day. The park is pretty amazing. It's got a little bit of everything for everyone. It's nestled in the woods, has a really earthy old time feel (Its as if the park has been stuck in the year 1956), a real carousel where you reach for the brass ring and actual carousel organ, old time diesel powered rides, and has great food at shockingly reasonable prices (for amusement parks, that is). Plus, it's got a great arcade with nicely maintained pinball machines, and it also has the famous Knoebles "Fascination Game Room" which I haven't seen anywhere else.

Sounds like ill be going there.

    #18 2 years ago

Thanks for all the ideas, im sure ill be adding stops along the way!!

    Maiden LE at Helicon.

    #20 2 years ago

PinballPA has an Iron Maiden, along with about 175 other pins. Plus nearly 200 video games. Great place to spend an afternoon. $50 gets a family in for the entire day. Love going there!

    #21 2 years ago

If you have time, check out Rock Fantasy in Middletown NY. Steve Keeler is the owner and is having a Iron Maiden launch party Saturday. He has both a pro and a premium at his Rock shop.

ps. I wish I had some cash left in my pinball funds to pick up your Operation Thunder.

    #22 2 years ago

Op thunder is a good game, just really want a maiden. As of now it looks like we are staying by knobels, but i hopefully will make it other places as well. Pinballpa sounds pretty sweet too!

    #23 2 years ago

If your staying around Knobels, stop over at Chris, Coin Taker, new shop. He is right up the street from Knobels and has a Maiden Pro and Pre setup for you to try.

Awesome, thanks for the advice! I have a couple things i need from them anyways!

    #25 2 years ago

Just a heads up. Don't just walk in, knock first, his shop dog Diesel, can be a little intimidating if he don't know you.

    #26 2 years ago

Ok thanks. I emailed him to find out if they will be open this weekend. I need a shaker motor and a few other things anyways so it works out! Any must see places to eat in that area?

    #27 2 years ago

Yeah there is a few good places to eat around there. Chris can fill you in on that.

    #28 2 years ago

Loaded and ready. Just enough room for the family. At least until the next kid. Gottliebs sure are big!! Im delivering the game in lake harmony pa, 466 miles each way, i must really want a maiden

Not mentioned but Knobles has one of the absolute legendary wood rollercoasters, the Phoenix. Not the biggest but the zero gravity swoops at the end makes it a must ride

Pretty disappointed, cointaker is closed this weekend!

I can offer you and your wife a free whitewater rafting trip in the morning to curb your disappointment. Located just off route 80 near white haven.

    #32 2 years ago

I have an Avatar Pro, Al's Garage Band, Spider-Man Red and a Demolition Man that was restored by Eric Bundy (haven't listed that yet)

Not far from the Sands Casino in Bethlehem. Dorney park is nearby, The Great Allentown fair is going (166th year) and the Iron Pigs minor league team has a really nice stadium (Phillies). Crayola factory for the little ones is also close.

Thank you for the offer, but unfortunately my wife cant raft for the next 9 months or so. Pennsylvania has some great hospitality!

Crayola factory sounds interesting. And the fair!

Wipeout was delivered today to a first time pinhead for his vacation house in the poconos. Now its time for some fun!

Phoenix was awesome! My kid had a blast and i had to buy more tickets to ride it a few more times. It reminded me of the blue streak at cedar point. But longer and better

    #38 2 years ago

Paid a visit to cointaker even though they were closed. I was pretty sad, but looks like a nice new building. Ill have to swing by next time im out here
