I've been having an issue where my Dredd was spitting out two balls in supergame. Right away it would kick out two balls into the shooter, and when I would launch, one wouldn't go all the way out and it wouldn't allow me to launch the second. About a week after that it started kicking out two balls in regular play as well – it would launch one, then, a short time later, kick out another and autolaunch it putting two balls into play.

I checked the shooter lane switch and it seems to be working 100%, then I noticed the wires on my opto board had worked loose in the connector and would make the opto intermittent. Replaced the connector and still hasn't fixed the problem.

Took all the balls out to see if the optos were working in the switch test. Upon further diagnosis the 6th ball position opto seems to be intermittently staying "stuck" closed then will suddenly open. Not sure if I need to replace leds on it or adjust position? Just looking for a little guidance for further figuring out a solution. Thanks.

A friend just gave me the same advice. Might do that if the other things don't work. Might do it if they do as well. I know the previous owner already had to fix the board once since, when he acquired it, the wires were directly soldered on.
