got a Judge Dredd recently and im loving it. when i first got the gmae and would start a supergame it would be a 2 ball multiball as normal but as of late it is giving me 3 balls at the start. has anyone else had this problem or figured out the cause?
not getting any opto or trough errors but i did notice i am also getting an extra ball during multiball and sometimes during a ball search it will launch a ball. any ideas how to troubleshoot or test it?
It likely won't show as an error. A dirty or bad opto just thinks that it is closed all the time. Clean them with q-tip and windex. if that doesn't work, reflow solder. If that doesn't work, replace opto boards.

Pull balls from trough
Put game in switch edges test

When you come back, if any opto switch shows on the display, replace
Of course this assumes you have no other flaky switches or, if you have more than one bad opto registering, replace the indicated one and repeat.
