My JD is coming next week. Stadium lights (external power) and colorDMD (LCD) here waiting to go in. Machine looks to be in great shape, gold powder coated. Bought it from Top Score Gameroom out of Missouri.

Has anyone ever used any LED strips around/behind the topper? All my machines have toppers that light up, and I don't want to leave JD out

Color changing LED strips are cheap, just curious if anyone else has tried it?

Can anyone clarify when balls should lock on the first JUDGE multi? Im running promo roms with deadworld, and seem to be getting some random virtual locks for balls one and two. No errors in test.

Is there any situation where a ball should lock without going up the left ramp? Also, it seems like I start with one lock some games?

Tested optos and seem to be good. Although left ramp enter opto, mine says 67, is not used (but I think thats normal).

Hard to get the game dialed in when I dont know the rule set well yet!

I'm stupid. Just discovered last night that my game only had 5 balls in it. Added ball, and all is right. My deadworld still doesn't spin as freely as I would like, even with no discs on. I think it is rubbing against the plastic at the base. I am going to re-position and maybe try to shave a bit of that plastic back today.

Quoted from Mancave:

Loosen the screws that hold the assembly underneath and adjust a little bit, the shaft is most likely rubbing against one of the 2 deadworld "tray" plastics. I had to do this on a JD project machine once before.

This seemed to make it run quite a bit smoother! I played a few games and am still getting the right ramp to register as a left ramp hit sometimes. Going to troubleshoot a bit more tonight

Still having some issues with my left ramp registering shots that it shouldn't. I did some testing, and I think the left ramp exit is loose/rattling causing the opto for left ramp exit to trigger.

My ramp isn't currently connected to the bracket, but my question is, what piece is supposed to be holding the ramp to that bracket? I'm assuming some sort of spacer? Can someone take a picture of what it should look like?

I tried a zip tie quick, and it was too tight. Pulled the ramp to the cabinet, and the left ramp opto was constantly triggering. So, I'm thinking I have to secure the ramp, adjust the left ramp exit opto, or both.

That's interesting. That hole's not meant to be there.
Make sure the optos are facing each other square on.

Was getting closer to troubleshooting this, until I took off the plastic on the top of the three tier ramp, and now, my left ramp opto exit isn't triggering at all!

Disregard this. Everything working 100% now.

The ramp was too tight, and the left ramp exit opto wires were getting pitched and moved by the three tiered ramp. I loosened the set screw by the crane, and was able to slide the ramp back and to the right. This eliminated the problem.
