Quoted from Davi:Here is the 2nd version. No need to suffer from helicoil, no need to glue anything. Only a simple 8-32 slim hex nut and the original grub screw are required.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
how do we obtain the file?
Quoted from fast1981:It looks like the Power Driver Assembly transistor is Q70.
measure the leads on q70 with a multimeter, probably shorted and needs replacing. Check your coil, maybe that’s gone bad too. There’s a diode somewhere in the q70 circuit, make sure that’s good as well.
Sounds like the rottendog uses mosfets not transistors. I never owned one, replace away. the key part # is 13N10L
Quoted from TractorDoc:There is a new Dredd Crane Mod in town.
So, where do we send our money??
Quoted from Mr_Frog:Soooo much better than what came with the game.

what pinblade art have you got in there?
Quoted from RobDutch:Changed all incandescent bulbs to leds, but I've got ghosting on a few.
Most noticeable at the crime scenes, so leds are on while they shouldn't be.
I've read something about a rom patch but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
My game is running L5, would updating it to L7 make the ghosting less? (No right? )
Or do I need a led ocd board?
The rom patch helps, but led ocd is the only absolute fix.
Anyone have issues with their 5 target reset plate? I’m having the first or last skip over the plate finger.. so the target won’t reset till you pop it back over the reset plate.. was thinking about trying whatever Marco is selling, maybe it has longer fingers?
Everything is normal except for that ribbon cable on your dmd, that looks hokey. There is some spring metal you can put to give more resistance to the right flipper button.

Oh i thought it was the plug that was pictured, blue orange wire should be for right ramp flasher according to the manual.
I’d see if pirategames.hu can recommend a ribbon cable.
I’m just curious, it seems like they planned to drop balls in there at some point to do all that subway plastic.
Quoted from DarthPaul:But either of these options would work for the right side, correct?
I’m pretty sure factory is the plastic one on the right, but i don’t see why you couldn’t run the older one.
Quoted from rvermeire:Happy to share it (Rom L-1D) but don't have a chip reader so if somebody lives in Belgium...
I’d toss you $20 to get a eprom programmer, If there’s few more out there willing to chip in you could get a gq-4x (~$100) I’ve seen some cheaper stuff but dunno if they’ll actually work.
Quoted from ReallifePin:Had to post a couple more pictures of my Dredd now that my crane mod from Davi is installed.
where did you get the clear deadworld disc?
Quoted from ReallifePin:I made it. I’m trying out one with engraved meteors to orbit along with the locked balls but I’m not sold yet.
Cool, it looks nice in the photo!
Quoted from rvermeire:OK guys,
received an eprom reader to make the file from Australia (living in Belgium ! Thx Warren !!
Just took about 2 months to fly over and pass the customs circus.
I have the ROM file available. You want it ? Send me a PM with your e-mail, I'll send it over.
When we meet (probably never), you owe me and Warren a beer

This ROM is great. Thanks for sharing!
I copied the text from the img you posted, in case anyone wants to print out the changes on a clean sheet:
https://videopenny.com/images/Dredd_L-1D.rtf
Quoted from cynric:It'd be awesome if this L-1D would finally allow for deadworld locks!
I have been able to get it confused (and seen the worst case scenario described below) but I just took the glass off an ran your scenario and it worked fine.
· Corrected the problem that occurs when a ball misses the planet exit switch
1. Best case scenario: the problem is detected and corrected immediately and you won't even notice you had a problem. This is usually the case if the problem occurs at the start of multiball.
2. Worst case scenario: the problem is detected and corrected at the end of the game(s) in progress
Quoted from Pinologist:I'm in the club! Scored a beauty. Plays like a dream, just need to find the L7 rom and slap it in.
you really want the L1-D ROM
Quoted from Pinologist:What rom is this, the one that locks the balls on deadworld?
It does it all.. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/dredd-owners-thread-members-only/page/84#post-6515608
I did poor man’s deadworld lock and taped off the openings. Works great and with the L1D I can swap back super easy.
Quoted from Bam_Man:Just joined the club! Anything I should know/check to ensure the Judge runs beautifully?
[quoted image]
I'd be most worried about the gearbox for deadworld.. maybe you can get them somewhere.. but i don't think so, pack em with grease.
