Have not had any issues with the PZ ramps other than the occasional hop off.
You just have to make sure the popper's power is set right. (by the springs not to pop too hard !) 
Those ramps are pretty thick, can't imagine them melting..... (unless you are flame polishing them 
)
IMHO the PZ ramps are the highlight of that pin.
