I just started having an issue on my BSD. I must preface this by saying that I also just put a color DMD in the machine when this started happening.

At power up it will run testing and kick a ball into the shooter lane. You can start a game and it will keep another gall out but will not launch. It seems like the machine is also doing a constant test also. I have checked fuses and the ground. Any ideas?

Wants to load the most ball but can't raise the ramp?

Does the ball launch work in switch test mode?

#5 7 years ago

Ball launcher does not work in test but I cant find the fuse

Check the shooter lane switch. The game needs to dectect a ball there to auto launch..and load mist

I Also notice that the right Outlaw does not kick out anymore. I'm wondering if these are on the same fuse that I can't findI'm wondering if these are on the same fuse that I can't locate

Looks like F105 is the fuse for solenoids 1-8

Quoted from attitude05:

I have checked fuses

Actually measured with a meter? Check F101 to F105 as these are fuses for the power to coils.

#11 7 years ago

I did another check this morning. I changed the F105 and no change. During the test 1-8 did not fire at all but everything else is good. I will have to pick up some 3amp fuses tomorrow and see what I can do.

#12 7 years ago

And check to make sure you don't have a broken wire on the coil.

101 to 105 changed and still no go on 1 to 8

Check for DC power at the coils with a meter.

That too.

Sometimes the secondary solenoid 7amp fuse blows out at F112 (second from the top right) but that should kill all coils.

Could game be confused as a result of s trough switch issue. Check to make sure the diodes on the trough switches are good, no broken wires or wires touching or shorting against another wire or something.

Bump.....very interesed in this thread

I have checked the fuses on the driver board and I am still having the same problem
I wish I could post a video so you guys can see what is happening

#20 7 years ago

I am reading through the manual and trying to figure out which plug those coils are connected to.

#21 7 years ago

How did you check the fuses?

#22 7 years ago

I did a continuity test and tested the fuses things were reading properly. However I just went downstairs got ticked off and replaced every single fuse on the driver board. Game fires up and plays perfect now. I am happy that it is working now but can't understand why only replacing the fuses that handle the solenoids Did not fix the problem but I had to replace every single fuse.

You have to pull the fuses out of the holders to test them properly. Glaf to hear you've fixed it.
