so i picked up a Dracula a few days ago and has been playing good until today.

here is the issue.

sometimes the ball will load into the shooter and shoot on its own without me hitting the button.
once the ball is in play the launch coil sometimes (not always) will fire one or 2 more times with no ball in the lane. then it will spit out another ball in the lane and it will just sit there until i hit the launch button then i have 2 balls on the play field.

anyone have this issue?

what would cause this?

Take the apron off and play a game. WATCH what is happening down in the ball trough. My BSD was having similar problems also. As mentioned above the game is losing track of the balls. My problem was misadjusted switch 41 in the trough (closest one to shooter lane), and a dirty/sticky ball eject linkage. The linkage was not returning to the down position quick enough so the balls could not roll to the next position in the trough so the game would launch the ball automatically. Weird things happen when balls get unaccounted for. Guarantee your problem is in the trough. Just watch what's going on in there closely.

I am bumping a very old thread here, but I have a solution that worked for me, and I had identical symptoms as the OP.

Perform a factory reset on the game. These games of that era had buggy code, and sometimes a factory reset "clears the cobwebs" so to speak. Happened on my BSD, and a factory reset made all the problems go away with zero problems.
