I am looking at a Dr. Who machine locally but am not really sure of the market. I do not have any pics of it but can describe it well. The playfield is very nice. The plastics and ramps are all super nice. The machine is faded but the cabinet is solid and nice. Basically no red on the left side though. There is also no topper. What is a reasonable value of a machine like this.
I own a really nice one I turned down $2500 for it last Winter. I see them in the $2500 range all the time but just wasn't ready to sell yet!
As far as with no topper & paint fade my best guess would be $1800 to $2000 if everything else is OK.
I am sure others will chime in on this but figured I would give you a bump anyway.
I've seen really nice ones, no fade, little to no wear, complete, everything working, go for as much as $3500. Faded beaters that need work still can sell for $2000....so somewhere in between I would say. Probably a little higher out here in the west due to low pindensity. People that have one usually don't want to sell, and those that do sell almost always regret it later. I think it's why nice ones are hard to find, much less within driving distance.
That is kind of the range I was thinking. The playfield on it is flawless but missing the topper and the faded cabinet hurt. Looks like it's pretty hit or miss in being able to find a topper for sale anywhere. Kind of one of those you have to get lucky kind of things
