picking up a nice dr. dude this wknd from a fellow pinsider. the ramp is in nice shape. I know that many of them are cracked and no one repro's these. I wonder if it's worthwhile to pluck it out of this machine and sent it off to be remade. any thoughts? thanks.

Mine is blown out at the entrance and I would gladly buy a reproduction ramp.

that's what I'm thinking. I own one w blown out ramp, making the game useless. if I can use the new one, I can salvage the machine. just unfamiliar w the legalities. also wondering who can make em if I donate it.

I believe twisted pins is taking over ramp reproductions from pinball inc.

We are not taking over Pinball Inc's business. We already have our own vacuum forming machine and access to the original Williams/Bally blueprints to make the tooling for the ramps we desire. I do know who is taking over the Pinball Inc business but that is not my place to announce it. I am confident that James or the new owner will make let people know when they are ready.

As for the Dr. Dude ramps I wouldn't say that they will never get done but the cost to make those tools would be pretty expensive and I don't see the demand to cover the investment at this time. We do have a ton of other ramps we feel that we can recoup the tooling fees pretty quickly.

    Thanks for clearing that up!

I'm surprised there aren't more repro parts for Dr. Dude. Seems whenever I see something pop up on Ebay it goes for a fortune (mainly the Big Shot). There seems to be demand for the parts and it's still a somewhat popular table.
