this is so weird to watch it go down in real time.
Phil get well,
DP hope to hell you guys know what you are doing and it works out.
I love my WoZ. Bought 2 early on.
As a result, I decided 2 years ago that I would never, ever pre-order any fuc*ing thing again.

Ever.

Quoted from RavellevaR:

If what you are saying is true, you really need to drop the whole "friends" issue. You are accusing people of fraud and have acknowledged that you were a party to said fraud. You've also noted that a company in which you held a managerial position in participated in various copyright infringements and other forms of intellectual property theft, which you had knowledge of. You really need a lawyer, because you were in a position to act and have not done so. Merely backing out and claiming no responsibility isn't an option at this point. Either what you said is true and you too are responsible to some extent or this is all a fabrication. Either way, I'd consult your lawyer to figure out what recourse you have rather than looking to the pinside community to grant you justice.

Now that sounds like a lawyer.

Quoted from MinusWorlds:

Next pinball startup company?
Pinside Inc.
We can run it like a cooperative.
But seriously for those who do not know it takes about 15 minutes to setup a TIN. Not sure if that's been mentioned.

kick starter here we come come. I am in.
fund the upstarts and let Stern / JJP build them.

Quoted from Phil-DP-USA:

He's still my friend, and I still car about his family. I'm sitting here crying my eyes out becaus of what iu have to do.
barry please
please

OK, shenanigans.
This whole thing no longer sounds believable to me.
One thing to out them. Another to keep releasing docs, after doc.
Some texts appear one sided, no response from the other party, just Phil gong on and on it seems with him self?
Phil appeared to be quite the salesman at Expo.,
DP silence is deafening and a huge problem for them.
I am, sure DP has been advised to say nothing.

A lot of damage has been done and I think its game over on this one..gonna to be in over seas court forever..

I would get any money back I could as fast as I could.

The situation presented is one of dysfunction.
It is obvious that there are financial difficulties. There can not be 2 companies representing DP.
The lack of communication from DP is glaring.
This is a gone dead train.

I went through an almost 3 year wait with JJP., I was lucky, they were lucky. Never again pre-order.

It is obvious DP is dead in the water.

Get your money back if you can. By the way, I have not ordered this game, nor do I own it etc for the peanut gallery. Nor do I have any conspiracies.

Just good money money management.

I love pinball,

Quoted from lowepg:

Folks still choosing to blame Phil at this later date reminds me of the idiots that wanted to keep blaming a certain FORMER President 6 years (and counting) after his predecessor was clearly steering the ship....

Why drag your politics into this? This is about pinball.

Quoted from ozno:

For those of you who are wondering how I know that my previous statement is true, here is my answer:
The simplest explanation is usually the correct one. If DPU can hold out long enough and begin production, then customers will recind their requests for a refund. That's their plan. They don't want to refund anyone else and are using the PHil PayPal situation as an excuse.
I have given up hope for a refund, and am eagerly awaiting production and my machine.

If you have given up hope on a refund what in the hell makes you think production will even happen?

Quoted from JimB:

Great question. I'm thinking some new preorder money coming in could solve this refund issue but how can new sales get a boost at this point? Open up the preorder pricing again since its too late now? Those who come back get put to the back of the line which is no big deal.

After reading all of this who in the world would pre-order as messed up as situation this? No one with any money sense.

Quoted from sd_tom:

Yeah there's a poll on here where 50% are out, 30% are in, and 20% are on the fence. Given the license seems in ok shape, there is not the evidence Thst the most likely scenario is total collapse.. Its on the board now after all this, but jumping straight to worst case as if it is the only possible outcome at this point is lame.

I can not find it, a little hepl with a poll link?
thanks,

JJP came very close to meltdown with 6.5 $ million in depo's.
They stayed in touch.
They are /seem to be doing ok.
IMO, this is end of pre-pay as we know it.
Did Skit ever get the game out?
TBL I am afraid is a gone dead train; at least as we know it.
Just someone who had 13,000$ depo for 2.5 some years with JJP.
I have not ordered this game and have no money in it.
Good luck.

I think this is going to be a train wreck.
JJP was in deep trouble, 7 weeks is nothing. JJP went 2+ years.
The difference was communication.
JJP kept folks informed and issued refunds upon demand. I think the refunds kept them alive.
Lots of WoZ owners jumped in and out and back in over the course of 2.5 years.
If Paypal or a credit card account gets locked up its over. Its in court, the moneys gone etc.

I really hope the guys that asked for a refund get it, the run on the company seems to official.
If you don't ask for it, you probably won't get it.

Good luck to all.
