Some small information that may help. Regarding the licensing, overstepping, securing, displaying public property, etc.
I had a nice family dinner and a short conversion with my brother, and his answer was it really was all about relationships. Even if all the "wrong" being listed is true, if the relationship is in order, most licensing issues like this can be resolved. My discussion of this situation, was reflected from his position as optimistic, as long as no bridges have been burned.
Does this mean anything? Its up to you, but he was employed for several years as both a Universal attorney, and still does licensing deals, in an assortment of areas as an entertainment attorney.
Hes been there many times.
As some small consolation, It may still mean a game being built, and to wait on the license issue.
