First of all, Robbie the Robot isn't from a "trailer". He's originally from the full length film Forbidden Planet, which was released in 1956. There is no "if it was in the trailer it's public domain" rule.

He said exactly that, which means we will be revisiting this same issue that DP is going through now over on the Jpop thread in a few weeks. I hope more companies learn from these mistakes.

If DP can't use John Goodman, they can always get Tara Reid to play John Goodman
