Good news is that it seems to be no problem getting a timely refund from DP.
Could be quite the evening at Modern tonight.
Dudes...chill.... I got one also. I sent Barry an email to find out what's up. I'm sure it is just an error. Waiting for his responce.....

Well, whatever happened, that money has been refunded, so this is clusterfuck territory.
Nothing here.
I did find it strange when I made my pre-January payment that the confirmation said I had sent it to [email protected] - I wonder if the email address where payment is being sent is the issue....

I noticed it was going to Phil @ dutch pinball when I made my payment as well. So I emailed Barry and he fixed the paypal account to go to sales account or something before I made my Jan payment. That was earlier this week. I didn't actually think it was going to be an issue as I assumed the [email protected] account got routed to some shared account.
Wonder if part of moving USA money around (maybe between accounts) last night and someone clicked the wrong button on paypal?
Any common denominator for you guys? Did you buy in person at expo or? I didn't get any refunds(first day order) so its not everybody
Purchased via internet/dp's website on what happened to be last day of expo. But not purchased AT expo.
K. Sucks. I would think PayPal has records of all the refunds going out so not a total nightmare to reverse.
When you check your payment status on the big lebowski website, does it show your payments still or is that cleared out too
EVERYONE FREAK OUT!!!!!!
Clusterfuck. CLUSTERFUCK!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure it's nothing. Never seen so many people panic after receiving money before.
Just my 2 cents, but the fact that it's not coming with some info or message definitely makes it sound like a glitch of some sort, IMO.
Oh, I'm sure this can get straightened out, but worst-case-scenario DP has to go and ask everyone to repay again, and they'll probably not get 100% recovered, but that will be up to the end buyer and at least they aren't out anything.
Not sure the issue yet, but I know JPop had a similar issue with paypal receiving too much money in the account on the ZA game. It would be nice to hear from the DP camp on what's going on.
Could be as simple as going though a different payment plan and avoiding paypal as a remedy.
You guys getting unrequested refunds:
Check to see if you're getting dinged for currency exchange each time a transaction happens. If so, you might ask to be reimbursed.
I got an unrequested refund as well. I had paid in full in two different payments and got the refund in two transactions.
Seems sort of sloppy. Hoping for an official explanation.
I did not get hit with any transaction fees at least.
I paid the first two payments with Paypal and no refund here yet. Hoping for a quick response on this one.

JJP delays TH until February or March. (I'm guessing April.)
Stern screws LE buyers by releasing a premium that most people like better.
DP sends unrequested refunds.
'Tis the season to screw customers, fa la la la la la la la la...
Just talked with barry and everything is fine...you will not lose your place in line. You can go into your payment status and reapply the payment that was refunded. DP will be sending out a note after th modern pinball event. (probably next week)

Very curios as to why this happend? Also I don't see the reapply payment button on PayPal and lastly should we still be sending payments to Phil because my original payment went here:
Business Name:
Dutch Pinball USA, Inc.
Email:
[email protected]
I would just hold tight to your funds for now.
Once you hear an official explanation, THEN proceed with caution.
If the payments were sent to Phil's address, it's likely that DP needs them re-sent to the DP address since Phil is out. Probably cost too much in fees to transfer from Phil to DP directly, or other problems with that method, so they simply want everyone to re-send the deposit directly to DP. Nothing to freak over.

I'm sure it will all be fine, so I agree, nothing to freak out over.
But if that was the case wouldn't a note ahead of time be appreciated? And whatever happened, don't you think an email now, instead of next week, is a good idea?
DP, you gotta step up your communication game guys. Talk to people!

Smart.
Still haven't got a refund I was in early, is the consensus those refunded are latecomers near expo?
Rod
More hypothesis: DP was trying to work out an arrangement with Phil, but Phil got annoyed with the process and took matters into his own hands by issuing refunds (and removing himself completely from TBL project) without DP knowing he was going to do it. Kinda like how he quit DP in the first place

Highly doubtful, and instead of having to form a "hypothesis" how about actually provide some real in from DP on what is going on! It's NOT insignificant.
I find it hysterical that one guy here that has requested a refund has NOT received one while everybody else who doesn't want one is getting one.

People may have given Phil a hard time on the t's but he was vocal being he was pr and licensing.
I'm guessing the disgruntled nature of the email from Phil re his leaving has something to do w this and has caught dp off-guard again...
edit: metallic summed up what I was trying to say while I was composing.

Is there anything to this that looks planned by DP? Maybe planned by Phil....
I highly doubt anyone from DP would do this @ 0600 east coast time on the same day as the mp debut.....

No... I was in on day one
I got the refund for my third payment only. Logged in to my dp order page, hit retry, paid, it says completed again. Not a big deal everyone.

Why doubtful? The deposits were sent to Phil. That's his email address in the recipient field, and I doubt he wants to give up control of that email. Therefore, the money needs to get transferred to DP's account and not his. This is one way of doing it, and the process mirrors Phil's departure from DP. Seems to be the most logical conclusion. We will find out shortly I'm sure.
