I will give you my impression. After playing a dozen games on 2.0, I looked at my other games and wondered how much I could get for them, so I can afford the Hobbit.

The newer games have a different power supply, as well as the 7v boards. I am very thankful I got my game after the change.
Much like the XMENLE aux board, the early problems have hurt the sales and rep of the game.
Eventually all of the old games will be fixed, but the hurt has already happened.

How new are these "newer" games that have different power supplies?
My game has a jan or feb build date on it. I am not sure without looking. I am fairly sure that a build date of June would not have had all of the new parts. I could be wrong on that, so don't quote me on it.
