When I go to the movies, if it isn't in my dreams that night, or I don't think about it the next day, it doesn't stand out as a great movie to me.

Dialed in is like that. I can't stop thinking of it, and want to play it more! I'll line up all day today, to get some games in.

For me, it feels like parts of the best of Pat Lawlor, and he put his heart in this.
Damn game just gets under my skin!

Yes, the reveal sucked, and a few opinions like it's a cell phone game are way off.
Jack's sense of humor or anyone's, doesn't translate well 3rd hand paraphrased through social media. Especially through all that was happening here. Pizza wars, drinking, Petty competition.

It's built like a tank. Plays smooth and easy with so much going on.

But Road Show meets Funhouse with Ripleys mixed in.
Even for me looking at the videos. It doesn't capture what you "feel" playing this one.

There's a reason 5 games had lines, and laughter and smiles were all that was seen.
It grabbed more ladies, teens, and kids, and the old farts like me, and England, Sweden, and everywhere else felt good about the game.

Regarding a "lower" model.

Yes, there were conversations about what might be done to help lower the price and differentiate models, more than just a number, glass and powder coating. Who knows.
I want one, and the only complaint heard anywhere at the show was price.
Nothing I heard about name, phone rings, etc.
I think those that were bothered simply stopped playing.

Ice, don't get hung up on LE, etc from JJP.
It's a different game and so far somewhat meaningless here.
Batman, has a huge Art difference.
GB has many features.
I don't see that as the same as JJP.

Promises or statements of release are also meaningless.
The entire show proved that over and over.

Just take a step back, as no one is getting any of these new games soon.
Maybe even 6 months till stuff starts.
Plenty of time and shows for all new games to get code, and bugs out.
All vendors heard the collective bitching about games released too soon.
By the time Texas show comes, lots more people will play, more opinions, more code, etc.

Wait and see.....no reason to get focused yet.

Stern does make bigger differences, and this fits you.

JJP released fewer titles, and generates revenue from cosmetic changes.

Not right for you, if you truly desire Limited Editions.

Some may Care more about the game, over
how many limited are made, for perceived
retention or appreciation.

The lottery ticket is not physical, as in coming out of the game. It's an award on the screen.

The confusion you are having Ice, is they didn't
have a set amount of LE or price, etc.

JJP and Stern have had a great deal
of "positioning" that went on
Ftee Pizza when the other company
launched, and so much more.
It was an adult school yard brawl.

But everyone saw differently at the show.
Guys focused on tournament, others, on party mode, focused only on Aliens, standing in front of 3 batmans, dying to play, and drooling more puddles than Taro.
Batman was announced long ago, games revealed, but a failure to have it ready to play
Alien had announced years ago, and showed a game with some bugs that were proto.
JJP unveiled a secret game, with
everyone's imagination, and provided
5 stunning almost flawless games, but
didn't finish seminar, pricing and marketing.

That's all that happened.
I likely wodnt be any different if I didn't go,
to the extra and more often erroneous
posts on games on pinside.

How could anyone know?

JJP is simply not for you because
you want finite limited numbers,
and they won't do that, because they
change a few things, and make more
"Limited" Editions.

That's the whole story.

But a game sight unseen, give lots
of money, unveil....but human effort
did not get it ready.
Get the game ready, then take money,
But you can play the game BEFORE
you give money.
Or Alien that did it in between.

Nothing was perfect to what everyone
"Wants".

Oh, and Dialed in is still a blast.

After a dozen games, the art and title grow on you and are fine.
From pictures, I agree, could look better.
Playing it, it disappears imo.

Serialized games need to be honored to hold value. While sold that way, it seems JJP, isn't
following through.

Just play the game....and enjoy!
Don't buy it and play your buds, or Used in a few years....who cares!
It's new, it's fun, why not do whatever Rocks your boat!
