I hear ya. I've had an iPad since the day they came out. I just sold my iPad Air this weekend for a nice used Surface Pro 3. I'm really digging it so far. I wanted a device that could do a lot more at home and on the go, the Surface Pro definitely fits the bill.
My main hold back to switch was being tied up in Apple store purchases made over the years...
