I recently ordered a $ 500 wpc power driver board through them since they are in canada. It had bad components from factory and I needed an exchange.
The parts department guy was a total dick and refused any returns or exchanges saying he can't "test" it and claimed the invoice says no returns. The website didnt say ANYTHING about this. So I'm now stuck with an expensive paper weight as rottendog won't respond either.
I almost want to cancel my MMr order with them over their terrible service.
I may be forced to attempt to source the bad transistors and risk replacing the bad parts myself.

Talk to your credit card company. They can't sell you a defective product and not accept returns (or at least an exchange).

Can you go above the parts department guy to a supervisor or company owner?

On the flip side of things, I know some people install new boards blindly into a game without proper diagnostics first (and use the new board as the diagnostic test). Sometimes the board gets damaged from a problem within the game. Sellers sometimes don't like that or situations that sound like that, and since it's not the product's fault, but rather the customer's, they don't always want to cover the cost of repair/replacement from their own pocket.

I get that. I put in a known working board borrowed from my sttng and the game has worked flawlessly. Definately not a case of game damaging board

Cancel your MMr order from them and tell them why. They'll take your return back.

That is why I only use my credit card for purchases. Call and get a charge back done and cancel that MMr immediately.

They are willing to risk loosing a multi thousand dollar sale over a few hundred dollar sale? You certainly need to speak with someone else!

Not pin related but a recent return issue, I purchased an aftermarket water pump, paid the dealer to install it. To my chagrin it performed considerably worse than the OEM unit. When first contacting the seller I was told they won't refund labor cost. I asked to talk to a super, when I had him pull my multi year order history (7 years actually) to the tune of roughly $4K, he agreed to cover the $375 in labor I had to pay to have a new OEM pump installed and had already refunded my 300 for the pump.

Call back, be nice and see if you get more flies with honey rather than vinegar.
If that fails, your next call should certainly be to your credit card co!

    Good Luck.

I'll give RD another few days to respond to my emails. Hopefully they will make it whole.
I cringe at ordering something that expensive and bringing it a cross the border from a USA distributor. I get the 3rd degree everytime for even small purchases.

They are the only dist. For this side of Canada.

I'd say get some friends in Buffalo!

I have dealt with Jim Knight with rottendog boards that had issues. He always made it right and sent me a new board or fixed the bad one. Other sellers of rottendogs have also made me go to Jim over the seller making it right.
