Quoted from SuaSponte275:

I know of a woman who was knocked up by the pizza delivery man, she was also married(not to the delivery man). Not sure how it went down, i just know of the aftermath.

Did she order extra sausage ?

I thought that only happened in porn movies.

Quoted from Frax:

I challenge any other delivery driver to provide proof this has ever ACTUALLY happened to them, not that they're just blowing smoke up someone's rear to make themselves look cool. 7 years delivering pizza, never, EVER had this happen, nor so much as a boob, but hey, maybe the ghetto is too respectable for that.

About 20 years ago we had a stripper mistakingly knock on my buddies door. She was cute and we all scraped some cash together and had her strip for us.
She ended up hanging out after the stripping and we all ordered pizza. She was adamant about answering the door in the buff. She had us prep the tip, all in quarters, probably 6-7 bucks worth. When the guy knocked on the door, he was like "holy shit" She told him to lay down and put the stack of quarter on his forehead..

Now open your hand for your tip. True story.

I really like seeing brands on things. It feels more real.
Really liked that about Breaking Bad. The 960 breakfast scenes had real cereals, shopping bags were clearly from Wal-Mart, an illegal gun is sold in a Denny's bathroom.

Yeah, it's tough to pull that one off on TV. Not really because the Companies won't sign the release for the prop dept. The networks generally won't let us put branding in a show for fear of losing commercial revenue.

In features, as long as we use the product as intended, generally we have zero issues. Now if you put Jon Voight on a John Deere riding lawn mower drinking bourbon, you will quickly get shot down. Ask me how I know

My next show is for AMC and is going to push some limits, I curious in how Legal will treat us.

It's especially egregious on a show like "Storage Wars" where they open up a locker that's been sealed for 20 years... except with gaffer's tape over a crock pot box

Fringe was funny too... went from being a paid Ford commercial to the usual blacked-over logos.

Only read the first page so not sure if anybody put this but:

"Return of the Noid

Domino's brought the Noid back for a limited run of T-shirts in December 2009. A limited run of 1,000 shirts was made.

On May 4, 2011, the Noid was brought back as a promotional figure by Domino's to be used in a campaign on their Facebook page and made a brief appearance as a stuffed toy at the end of a May 2011 commercial promoting a one-topping pizza deal. The 25th birthday of the Noid mascot was marked with the video game The Noid's Super Pizza Shootout, a tribute to Avoid the Noid."

I'd say there's a chance, but maybe not. Seems fine to me though.

#308 3 years ago

They have said that the Noid will be heavily featured in the machine! Will make it even more fun!

So, any bets on whether or not the Domino's pin will fit into the Domino's DXP once you pull out the oven and whatever they've got rigged up to hold 80 pizzas?

I nominate rotordave for the delivery!

#311 3 years ago

I'm not sure on whether one would fit as those Chevy Sparks are pretty small.

On a specific Domino's pinball related note, we are getting close to finalizing the standard translite and the full cabinet artwork and should be able to reveal in the next couple weeks.

Pfft...what a joke. I'm totally sure most franchisees are going to be ordering 25k+ cars (Custom ain't cheap, spitballing the price here) for their drivers. The slap in the face of mileage rates and forcing people to use their own cars and insurance, and pay for their own maintenance caused by the business, is just way too lucrative for them.

Sorta like how best buy geeksquad have to pay for decals?

That last pic is fantastic. Exactly what I would have done in their shoes...

At 12K RETAIL to begin with, how on earth do you more than double it for your spitball? "Hey Dominos, this guy on the internet says you made a move without doing the math so you're definitely pissing up a rope here." C'mon, really?

#315 3 years ago

bump... very interested to see how this is shaping up.

I'm just in mild disbelief that the Noid is featured in the artwork, I mean.. really? http://www.fastcodesign.com/3032911/kidnapping-death-pizza-how-dominos-lost-its-mascot

Bro, I'm sure you mean well and all but you gotta get out of Portland more.

#318 3 years ago

That was pretty common knowledge that the character was going to be featured

#319 3 years ago

Art looks great, can't wait to see more of the design.

Every shadow in that image is going a different direction.

The perspective is not strong with this one.

But, you get what you pay for.

I don't think that's the backglass... Is it?

yes it is, was posted in a new dominos thread by the guy leading the project.

Oh, okay! No one here specifically said it was, and I haven't seen the new thread yet.

Quoted from mrgone:

Well hells bells, now I want pizza.
Off to the freezer where I always keep a couple of frozen ones.
Yes, it's not as good as a real pizza.
As Sofia Loren once said.
"Sex is alot like pizza. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good."

Well hell's bells now I want Sophia Loren. And pizza.

There should be a separate chip you can put in kinda like profanity roms that add an adult version and that probably detail what really goes on at Dominos.

Smoking a bowl in the employee bathroom. Hit the pops to take a toke.
Giving away free food to your friends mode. Shoot the ramps to deliver stolen pizzas. Each ramp represents a friend.
Getting tipped with sex mode. Each knockdown target represents a sex act that is performed for the delivery driver.
Special ingredient mode. Hit the left bumber to add a booger, right bumper adds a pube and if you shoot the spinner 10 times you get to add the special sauce.

We could dream I guess lol. That would be hilarious yet disgusting at the same time, but I have a pretty good feeling that Domino's wouldn't go for it

I think Frax has pretty well shot down the theory that this ever really happens in an earlier thread!!! (He quoted Adam Sandler in it as I recall).

#328 2 years ago
Quoted from vid1900:

If you avert your vision, they will only order more pizza

When I delivered pizza like 8 years ago, This same thing happened more than once believe it or not.

This was also offered a few times on delivery as well. It was always a good chuckle when they open the door, smoke pours out, and it smells like a skunk. I always turned it down of coarse

Back from a very successful Rally with the pinball machine. Thanks for all of the comments on the reveal. This has been an incredible project for me and I cannot wait to show the game to more of you. We are trying to work out our schedules so that we can get the game in front of as many people as possible before we cut off ordering.

Hopefully, we will get some better gameplay video in the near future and everyone at the Spooky Open House on July 9th will be able to play the game. Everyone PM Tommy Skinner (tsskinne) to get up to Benton and stream that game as he clearly has technical abilities that I lack.

We have about 35 shirts left from our Rally allotment. These are Bella Canvas Tee Style #3413. They are ultra soft and lightweight.

2 XLs, 20 Mediums and 14 Larges left that are $25 each + $3 shipping. Multiple shirts in one order get flat $3 shipping. If anyone is in and around Ann Arbor and wants to pick them up at our World Resource Center, 30 Frank Lloyd Wright Drive, you can do that and save shipping.

Email to adam.gacek@dominos.com or pinball@dominos.com to order. I'll try to keep this post updated with a current inventory count.

We may do another run of these shirts if there is demand internally or externally or we could wait and do another design...

Pictures of the shirt below.

Thanks,

Adam

Wasn't able to check out the Domino's in Turkey any further, but I did scope one out in Morocco and I pulled a menu to show all the toppings. Later that night I found a little alley arcade off a Bazaar with one working pinball machine. Was stoked! Be home soon to catch up on Pizza and Pin. Such intense cultures over here during Ramada.
