I purchased my first machine a couple months ago. It's a 1979 Bally Dolly Parton. It worked great for a while, then stopped kicking out the ball to the plunger. I've noticed the bottom pop bumper quit working at the same time...guess they're tied together somehow? I haven't been able to locate schematics anywhere online for this machine. Anyone had this problem before?

Thanks, Gary

Start out easy, cleaning the switch contacts by pushing the contact closed and sliding a piece of paper or business card through it.

Also, follow the wires to make sure they aren't broken upstream.

Also while checking the switches and wires, make sure that the contacts for the pop bumper and ball feeder are not stuck closed.

This will cause the coil to fry, also probably the resistors on the solenoid driver board to cook too.

Check your board for black or burned looking marks aroud the resistors that power the coils. (see manual)

Make sure the rods move smoothly through the coil sleeves, if not they are either siezed or the coils are fried.

And if this is your first pin MAKE SURE who ever sold it to you put the proper rated fuses in it.

Good luck getting her spitting out balls again.

Turned out to be a loose connection at the solenoid. Thanks for answering my post and trying to help!
