My wife came home from work as a teachers aid on Monday. She explained that a young autistic boy in her class had told her about going to a place on the weekend and playing some pinball there. The wife had never spoken about pinball in class before.
The 7year old did not stop talking about it all day and she asked me if I had any old pin stuff in the shed that she could use to make some sort of a reward for good behaviour in class for him.
I told her that I had piles of stuff that would never get used again and whipped this up for for the little fella.
He’s going to see it tomorrow. Hope he likes it.
    Here’s a little game play

I am planning on bringing a machine into work for the week before Christmas.

We'll put it in the cafeteria set on free play, and it will be available to everyone in the plant.

Yesterday I cleared it with our CEO. He was very enthusiastic about it!

Let's see how that goes. Will keep you all updated, when it happens.

Hey, enough with the off-topic politics already. We all have our opinions, none will be changed with the sniping back and forth. And meanwhile a perfectly nice thread concept goes down the crapper.

So cheers to OP, and to @boof-ed, I'm sure that kiddo will love what you've made for him, and just as important having an adult show that they care can be really impactful.

What was the topic again ? Oh that's right leaving a few credits in a pinball and some kids playing it.

You should have been here when this thread was started. It was down the crapper before the second post. And at the sewage plant by the third. But it all got edited and we let him slide for the sake of humanity.

I've donated several pinball machines to various fundraisers over the years. What I've found is that in almost all cases, it's the winners first game. So, I get to enjoy donating a game and it brings another new person into pinball. If you've never thought about donating a game, you really should. Of the many bonuses is that when you're at the event, there is pinball to be played.

If by "letting him slide" you mean only every third post was an off-topic political rant, then point taken. I gather from context that he made a comment in response to your latest avatar, so the first shot was fired by the OP, but it's a shame for this thread (or any other thread on Pinside) to devolve into a Trump vs. Obama mudwrestling exhibition. I know you're staying in shape, but we're none of us cute enough to make that an appealing prospect.

Quite the opposite. It was his opening post that fired shots at one of our elected officials, which is against pinside rules in the first place. And his second post that exasperated that. Not the best way to get any "feel good" thread off to a good start.

Sounds like we're in violent agreement here, the first shot was fired by the OP (though in his first post, not his third post as I guessed). Regardless of who fired and when they did it, Robin's instincts remain sound on this one, we'll all be happier if we bottle up our political opinions for the Thanksgiving table.

I won't eat with anybody that talks politics or religion.

And I really don't care to eat with long winded older ladies either that say " I haven't finished my sentence yet" or "you never let me get a word in edgewise". But since it's mom, I guess I'll let that slide too.

And the avatar came after the fact.
