Quoted from RWH:

How did he get torn ACL's? Was he jumping from an angled surface? I'm sure all will go smoothly with his surgery.

My last Lab had torn acl at a young age Vet told me alot has to do with the way there bred now, at the dog shows they werent winning because back in the day the lab breed looked like there legs were shorter in the back but breeders bred the dog to make the legs straighter in the back, (where when they stand there leg locks straight instead of the leg being bend a bit. He told me 10 yrs ago they didnt preform half acl repairs as now. Mine was probably only 4 yrs old she bounced right back after having it done (they tied it up with what i was told basicly fishing line), needed the other one done at 12yrs but at that time it was the least of her problems.

Never could figure out why someone would put a tagged collar on a dog and not include an address. I found the neighbors little dog had a dog license but no address, the dog was friendly so I picked it up and walked around the neighborhood looking for its owner. I live in a rural area so the houses are spaced apart, it was friday afternoon so I tried calling the license number but they were closed already and closed till monday, I was just going to keep it for the weekend and call the number on monday but while walking down the street the owners (an old couple from down the road) were driving around looking for there little dog. Im glad I found it cause if a hawk would have seen it he would have been a nice snack.

Quoted from PinballJeff:

I didn't think we'd be coming back to the club for a number of years, but I just couldn't stay away. This little girl should be coming home in a couple of weeks. Now if we could only come up with a name for her.

I guess your not getting a puppy then, man she is big, we got our charcoal Lab at 8 weeks and when we went to pick her up I looked at my wife and said I thought we were going to get a puppy. Bottom pick is her at 6 weeks.

They sell blow up cones, they look more like a donut that works pretty well. My dog was spayed a few weeks ago but never bothered her stitches so I never put a cone on her.

Well Tina's 6 months old and over 60lbs now, eats her dinner in 1 minute a 4 seconds and doesn't chew anything but apples and watermelon, she is your best friend as long as you have food.

Quoted from Madmax541:

Great loyal friend will be missed.

Sorry for your loss, my mom had to put her labradoodle (Lucy) down after 11yrs, was fine then for about a week she was panting and started coughing, my mom took her to the vet and they found in a chest x-ray she had cancer almost everywhere.
