Quoted from Azmodeus:

I am without a doubt getting a dog. I never have owned one. But I grew up around pit bulls. My dog will be a pitbull likely.
I am recovering from a stroke and three brain surgeries. But I have no yard. And I can't walk. I have a chair and walker right now.
Eventually. I will be walking, fully. It could be another year though.
I know a dog would help a lot right now. But I have to use my head I guess. I feel like a good home is coming for a dog, but not here yet. California real estate. Ug.
But my new dog. I am really looking forward to it. I'm thinking spring.
Patience. My new virtue.

If you get any "pitbull" breed, it is essential that they get proper training or you .and the dog are screwed. They must be taken for a minimum of 2 walks a day minimum 30 minutes, with a strong "pack leader". way more on this subject. Most people with pitbulls IMO should NOT have them, unless they know proper care and mental health. Public service announcement complete...

Quoted from EricHadley:

Pitbulls are a HUGE liability.....IDK why anyone owns one. Vicious breed

You would be correct... you do not know why anyone would one one. I happen to know how to train dogs. I dog just happens to do everything I say, doesn't pull on the leash, loves people, loves other dogs....behaves better then 98% of the other dogs I run across
