Quoted from klr650:Wow, those Weimaraners look very energetic! Looks like bad news for any deer, rabbits, or maybe even cats that cross their paths!
Yeah, they love to run! Very instinctual too!
Yeah, I had to do my research. Of course there are scammers out there and from what I read, CBD is different than hemp oil. This is the company that I ended up using after talking to some people and doing my own research. A bit pricey but it does work.
https://www.ellevetsciences.com/product/hemp-mobility-oil-for-dogs-60-ml/
I found a 20% off coupon that I was able to use too....
Quoted from undrdog:What dose are you giving him?
He's about 70 pounds. The instructions say to give 16 drops twice a day for the first week and then 8 drops twice a day thereafter. I just add it to his meals. Works out perfectly. Dosage is based on the dog's size.
Quoted from Jaybird815:2? 1 Weimaraner is a full time job, Haha
You got that right!
Quoted from Blu:What happened to her foot?
That's Zeus. He is 13 and he drags that paw a bit. I dont want him to start bleeding so I got some doggie shoes
Quoted from yzfguy:Hate to be here posting this, but please say a prayer for our Maggie. Found out yesterday that she has lung cancer and the vet gives it a few weeks/maybe months she is 12 1/2 so I won't be putting her thru chemo and all that, she has meds to help keep her comfortable until we have to make the hardest decision. It really sucks, she had an operation last year to remove a cyst on her hip, and had recovered so well. Life can be cruel for sure.
[quoted image]
That sucks man. Dogs are family. Prayers Maggie's way.
My Zeus is over 13 and having issues too. Back legs and mobility. Hate the thought of the inevitable. He still likes to watch football with me though And even though it was difficult we brought him to VT last week.....with his and Maya's bed of course

Sorry for yur loss
Quoted from screaminr:I received a package from PinMonk today , he must have made a ham sandwich before he packed it , because Doug really wanted to eat the box
[quoted image]
I had to put a bin in front of my house for packages because my younger one was mutilating them.
Quoted from yzfguy:So sorry, RWH
I agree that adopting an older dog would be doing both you and the dog a favor. So many older dogs never make it out of shelters.
Well, after going thru the same thing a few weeks ago, we couldn't take watching our remaining young pup looking around for her all the time, so yesterday we added to the family. A rescue saved from a kill shelter in Georgia.
Meet Mocha ❤️
She and Milo (lighter color) are really hitting it off and they both have lots of energy
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Awwwww.Beautiful pair
Quoted from RWH:Lost my little baby today. She suddenly became very sick and wobbly on her feet yesterday afternoon. I had fed her that morning like usual and she ate her food without issues but later that afternoon she started to throw up everything and could not even hold water down. Took her to the vet this morning and they did blood work and after the results decided to do an xray to have a look at her liver and found a tumor the size of grapefruit in her body cavity. I had to have her put to rest after having her for 15yrs. I've cried my eyes out even though I knew with her age it was coming, just leaves a hole in my heart. I'm going to be lost without her for awhile, she used to wake me every morning licking my face ever since she was a puppy and at this point do not think I'll get another for now. I worry at my age that a puppy would out live me and I don't want to have to depend on someone to take care of them once I'm not here. She was very loved by all and had even made the cover of Pet Smart's magazine where she got groomed very 2 months.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
So sorry for your loss
My Zeus is over 13. I work 2nd shift and everytime I come home around midnight he greets me and is happy to see me along with his little sister. Never once did he give me an attitude. Always psyched to see me. My wife is usually sleeping.
Quoted from screaminr:I just found out our mate BSSBLLR (Bob Marley)
passed away from cancer the other day .
He gave indications but I didn't realise how sick he was .
I hope he had a chance to watch the Bob Marley documentary I recommended to him .
This is the most positive thread on pinside , and there's a core group of guys who I recognise through their avatars , and I'm really upset I'll no longer see Bob .
You're in my thoughts and prayers mate , you'll be sorely missed .
RIP Bob
[quoted image]
Dam that sucks.
Quoted from Lostcause:Must get my rods out and catch me one this size![quoted image]
Wales?
Quoted from Lostcause:Yes in Wales, blue fin tuna are back 20 miles offshore apparently but all I ever see is jellyfish washed up these days walking the dog. Need to get my fishing mojo back.
Wales is a destination for me once I move to Prague. Nice pic
Quoted from Lostcause:Had some good times in Prague, if you visit Wales/Pembrokeshire get in touch if you like. Come and have a drink and play some pinball.
Thanks. I will take you up on that!
Quoted from illawarra92:been babysitting our 17 year and 2 month girl this week.
she hasn't got long to go, so making her life as comfortable as possible.
just shows you - she was the runt of a litter of 8 and she outlasted them all.[quoted image][quoted image]
She's beautiful
Quoted from illawarra92:my wife and i do everything we can to make sure her life is as amazing as it can be.
I'm with you with my Zeus. You obviously have a heart of gold.
Quoted from brobra:Lost my wingman, but extremely grateful for the 14 years of joy and companionship he provided to me and my family. Rest In Peace Jackson and see you on the other side.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Sorry for your loss.
As a kid we always had cats and now I have had dogs. This is the only dog, or animal, that I have ever seen that is unaffected by a vacuum.
Haven't been here for a while. I really miss Zeus who we lost in November. Maya is awesome and I can tell that she misses him too. We said that we wouldn't get another dog but we have one due to come home in May. I feel bad that we aren't getting a rescue but we are stuck on this breed.
Maya always finds a way to get comfy!
Quoted from Mari21:Friday, February 17th 2023, two days ago, I lost my boy, my everything, Chester.
He was 17 years and six months old, always in good spirit, always happy. He was a kind soul that made me a better person.
I miss him so much I cannot even describe it.
[quoted image]
Sorry for your loss. What a long great life you gave him though I know how you feel.
Quoted from Lostcause:Rescue centre said he was ok travelling
It's getting him into the car that's the hard part
Beautiful dog
Quoted from Polypin:Here is our prior dog, Tesla, age 12.5. Photo was taken day before we chose to put her down, December 27th 2021. You can see she had a limp leg; she was on her 2nd round of cancer and it was time. I share this photo for all those that have recently lost their pal, the sun will rise again. Take care everyone![quoted image]
Miss Zeus. He loved to run no matter what the conditions were.
FB_IMG_1579871229720 (resized).jpgQuoted from yzfguy:OMG, how cute! What breed are they? They look like little guinea pigs
Weimaraners
Quoted from FatPanda:Sorry guys. Don't mean to bring this thread down.
I don't have a problem with your posts. I am sorry that you have to go through this. I lost one of mine in November. Life isn't all roses
Quoted from yzfguy:OMG. The circled one might be my pick, but the one the arrow is pointing at seems sad and I might have a soft spot for him/her. They all look beautiful![quoted image]
I hear you about the soft spot! The litter with the sleepy ones are being dewormed. That's why they are so skinny.
Quoted from Jaybird815:It’s rabbit season[quoted image]
Bringing home a Weimaraner puppy tomorrow!
Quoted from Jaybird815:I showed my wife the pictures, she wants another one. I’m not sure I could do it again. Best dog I’ve ever owned, but took 6 years of work to get there. Their a rambunctious breed.
Yes they are. I've been reading up. 8 to 16 weeks is prime training time. Tomorrow is 8 weeks. I'll keep you posted!
This will be our 4th
Quoted from Jaybird815:They are awesome dogs and absolutely beautiful animals. Damn you!! Now I’m thinking about it.
Hahaha! I have the indoor and outdoor playpens all set up. I'm hoping that this will be my best trained dog yet!
This is the simplest yet most informative training book that I have ever read.
20230526_211455 (resized).jpgQuoted from LTG:Dad, what the heck is with these training treats ?
LTG : )
He doesn't like them! He's confused. Just left his pack
Quoted from Enchantress:What does Maya think of Ozzie being the new addition to the family?
She's getting there. Setting boundaries and making sure he knows who's boss
Quoted from Jaybird815:Small dog treats? They’re anything but small
Has your wife convinced you yet?
Quoted from ImNotNorm:Howie is happy with the bathroom renovation he got this past week. [quoted image][quoted image]
Looks great! Will he go on crushed stone?
Quoted from ImNotNorm:Between two ferns with Matilda.
[quoted image]
Nice looking ferns
Quoted from Enchantress:Bark buster on Maya, or invisible fence?
Invisible fence. She knows the boundaries so well I only put the collar on sometimes to remind her. It beeps, then vibrates, then zaps. She learned quick and rarely gets zapped.
Quoted from mtn-:Such devices are very illegal here.
Your driving laws are strict too. A friend of mine drove up there from Prague and got a $1000 speeding ticket.
Quoted from Jaybird815:I wish Rigby would sleep.
[quoted image]
We know that sleep isn't important to them.
Where's the puppy?
Quoted from RikeIsland:Not sure what to call this plant. I just know it keeps growing.
[quoted image]
Spuds?
Quoted from pinwiztom:Unfortunately my yard is not fenced and we live on a busy street.
Invisible fences work great and are easy to install.
Quoted from pinwiztom:Our main concern is how to bury the invisible fence (wire) across the driveway. Also the side boundaries of yard are either heavy brush and bushes and trees, does the "wire" need to be buried in all areas?
Might be hard to navigate trenchdigger amongst the foliage.
A diamond blade or a couple of abrasion blades on a circular saw, and a couple tubes of asphalt filler will get you across the driveway.
The wire doesn't need to be buried everywhere. I have an area that never gets touched so I threw the wire under the trees and covered it with leaves.
Quoted from mtn-:Keep your dog on a leash if it is prone to escape. Those electric fence things are just stupid.
Why are they stupid?
Quoted from mtn-:Would you use them on any other family members?
If necessary.
It keeps my dogs safe and they get exercise and fresh air all the time. They don't need the collars anymore.
Quoted from mtn-:Because delivering electric shocks to family members to teach them to stay put is so wrong in every way possible. But you only use the vibration mode, I assume?
They got the minimal shock a few times in the beginning to learn and now only get vibrations or beeps as reminders. They rarely wear the collars now. It's a lifesaver. Not giving a dog proper exercise is wrong too.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:You moved to Prague?
Yes. So dog friendly. Ozzy is adjusting great! He was allowed in T mobile and the bank. Then he finished the day sitting at the table in the pub.

does he dogscape
We nicknamed him Balls
Quoted from pinwiztom:Is Maple sitting on some pillows for a (special) Australian rugby team?
The Steelers?
Nice Smile!
