Quoted from oldskool1969:Space suit it looks like.
Good luck pup
Quoted from yzfguy:Best of luck to him. What a good idea to try out the suit beforehand.
Thanks! Hoping its a smooth recovery. Our first dog having to go through something like this...and for him having dysplasia at 1yr old was a shock/surprise. Non surgery option is just managing his pain and discomfort, but as young as he is we want to have been be more pain free and QOL movement.
Quoted from GroggyFrogFace:It's amazing how resilient they are, but even more so, the advancements in post-surgical rehabilitation and recovery options to aid in healing. My sister's border collie did incredibly well after an ACL surgery and went on to live many more years at full speed (didn't slow down until he was 15). Good luck and keep us posted on the surgery and how he's doing.
Yeah, they sure are super resilient. Just got home and everything went smoothly. He walked out of the hospital with little assistance, though my heart was being torn apart during the drive home hearing him whimper. At least he finally settled and is taking a nap. It's going to be a "fun" few weeks =)
