Quoted from bssbllr:Just a little reminder to check for ticks. Found this on princess was able to remove it and all is good. Looks like I have to grab a new tick collar.

I just found out our mate bssbllr (Bob Marley)
passed away from cancer the other day .
He gave indications but I didn't realise how sick he was .
I hope he had a chance to watch the Bob Marley documentary I recommended to him .
This is the most positive thread on pinside , and there's a core group of guys who I recognise through their avatars , and I'm really upset I'll no longer see Bob .
You're in my thoughts and prayers mate , you'll be sorely missed .
RIP Bob

Dam that sucks.
Quoted from 72Devilz:Two weeks till we pick up the sisters!

Two different coat textures?
Quoted from Enchantress:Two different coat textures?
Yep, their mother is a light red rough and the father is a red and tan smooth. The smooth girl will probably grow out some wire top coat but nothing like the coat on the rough sister. They looked so similar till around 3 weeks then they really started to show their true coats but their final colors which will lighten and coats wont be complete till they are around 1 year.
Added Eros to our family last week. 3 dogs and 2 people; I think that qualifies as a full house.
Eros is a long haired chihuahua. They are tiny to begin with, but this guy was a runt, so he's even smaller than his siblings!
Our golden and german shepherd are still learning that they have to be more gentle with him. But he's still amazingly energetic and playful, even for his young age!
Matilda is doing well 9 weeks after surgery. Last weeks x-rays came back great and she's on track to a full recovery. But she still needs to rest and relax until January pretty much. We just started doing stairs this week.
On another note. Matildas parents just had another litter and we will be getting her brother at the end of January. We settled on calling him Howie.

Did you consider Norm?

That is fantastic news brother, she is a beautiful girl I hope she continues to heal

Haha good one. Never really crossed my mind. But then again I'm not sure it would be the right name for my dog.
Quoted from RWH:That is fantastic news brother, she is a beautiful girl I hope she continues to heal
Thanks a bunch. It's appreciated. She also had a cyst near her left eye removed.
She sure is a trooper.

Quoted from hlaj78:Howie is a great name for a dog!
My last dog was a AKC yellow lab pup that was 6 pounds when I got him.
As far as names, I named him Johnny's Buddy.
I joked that I was going to call him Johnny, so that anytime anyone said my name the dog would pay attention also.
His name quickly became Buddy, and he was a awesome Buddy for 14 years.
(just throwing that in while dog names were being discussed).

I had a "buddy" years ago. I couldn't think of a name and after a few days realized I was calling him buddy anyway, so that stuck

Terrible news. Thanks for letting us know. I always enjoyed his posts. I think his son is on here too - condolences to the family.
Quoted from Strummy:Wales?
Yes in Wales, blue fin tuna are back 20 miles offshore apparently but all I ever see is jellyfish washed up these days walking the dog. Need to get my fishing mojo back.

Quoted from Tyamry:Yesterday was a tough day for my wife and I. We had to say goodbye to our Bubba just 4 days shy of his 5th birthday. RIP my friend, you are no longer in any pain.

5 yrs? Damn brother that sucks….
Brutal! So sorry to hear. Lost a dog to seizures when he was almost 4 years old. Was so terrible. Hang in there.

Condolences. Way too young. Rip Bubba
Sorry you lost your buddy so soon. Hang in there brother things I know seem bleak but it will get better.
Just little backstory on Bubba. 2 years ago he became ill. After seeing numerous vets for a year, he was finally diagnosed with IMPA (rheumatoid arthritis). The medicine he was taking for that causes Pancreatitis. He had two bouts with it but the third just knocked him out. We had him at home after plenty of visits to the emergency room. We couldn't even pet him without him growling at us. As much as we loved him we knew the pain he was in wasn't worth it. It was a very hard decision for my wife and I, but he is in a better place now and not in any pain.
Thank you for all of the kind words from everyone.

Man, that first picture of Rudy out the window reminded me of my recently passed Diesel. They look the same there it's uncanny.

Yeah...I thought the same thing everytime you posted pictures of the awesomeness of Diesel.
