We just lost our beagle, Lucy, to cancer after rescuing her about 11 years ago. We rescued her when she was about 3 years old, so she had a great life with us. Looking on the internet, there are very few rescue beagles available now compared to a decade ago.

So sorry to hear that. You gave her a great life and I’m sure she appreciated every minute of it and returned the love tenfold. Do you have any pics to share so we can see your sweet little baby?

Sorry for your loss, a lot of the shelters are empty, huge increase in adoptions, they’re saying due to people being home now more, I kind of worry when(if) life returns to normal there is going to be an overwhelming amount of orphaned dogs.

Sorry to learn of your loss. I'm sure you both rescued each other and you can now treasure the memories you shared with her.
Quoted from Daditude:Lady Gaga's dog walker was shot and her french bulldogs were stolen. Weird times. Here's a pic of the doggos:[quoted image]
I saw that, crazy, she’s now offering a $500,000 reward for the return of them.
Quoted from zerbam:yes but offering nothing for information on who did the shooting!!!!

well he has several it depends on who you ask lol. backstory first.. I was in Cincinnati for 10 days helping my sister after surgery and the same person we got Sally from let Charlie know she had a little guy that had been refused by the original buyer due to an injury ( sibling playing) to his eye. So Charlie said yes of course and they meet me at the airport all 3 of them. In the meantime Bug and a few others started calling him Snake Plesskin due to the eye lol but his official name is Zero from Nightmare Before Christmas.

That’s awesome, thanks of sharing.
Quoted from electricsquirrel:A word of caution when giving your dog marrow bones...…..
We used to do it all of the time until this happened:
A trip to the vet and $180.00 later, all was fine.
It really freaked out the dog, and I couldn't even get near him to try and remove it.
[quoted image]
Had this happen with our first golden. We didn't give up on the bones but maybe sure to only buy ones that were 2" or larger.
Quoted from PinballJeff:Now if we could only come up with a name for her.
How about Goldie for her coat color.
Can i just say that sometimes when im stressing out that this thread puts a smile on my face. Thanks pups.

Agreed! This is one of my favorite threads on Pindside!
Quoted from PinballJeff:I didn't think we'd be coming back to the club for a number of years, but I just couldn't stay away. This little girl should be coming home in a couple of weeks. Now if we could only come up with a name for her.
[quoted image]
I guess your not getting a puppy then, man she is big, we got our charcoal Lab at 8 weeks and when we went to pick her up I looked at my wife and said I thought we were going to get a puppy. Bottom pick is her at 6 weeks.
Quoted from Lostcause:To serve and protect........
Well he protects a fun game! Congrats

She's a pup, born 1/22. Name seems to be down to Stella or Letti.
Quoted from chuckwurt:Hoping for something, anything, to fall from the counter.
The worst part is that we reinforce the behavior in our home. If we've got something on the counter that we're cooking that is dog friendly, they're likely getting a bite (within reason).
I know a lot of folks are super against that. And that's fine. But we do it and let it ride!
Quoted from Coindork:Lola is one year old today.
Rather than a birthday cake, the wife gave her a cup of whipped cream with bacon bits on top.
Dog birthday treats are the best!

No judgement here.
Hell, I throw an extra burger on the grill whenever I’m grilling.
I normally break it up into pieces and treat the hounds to bits while they hang out with me while I grill.
