Folklore my ass...
That's my mother-in-law

Quoted from mtn-:Sunday is traditionally bunker day.
Otto does not look enthused over being disturbed you'd better find something else to do than interrupt his nap time. lol

Haha, yeah, I did spend a few hours on JP3 afterwards.

Looks like he is adjusting to his new environment quite well.

Alert but not worried - he's heard that sound a LOT in the 4 weeks I've had him!

Precious!
I think we all agree that dogs are the BEST and I have a question for dog lovers like me.
What's your opinion on the "guilty dog" videos online shaming the dogs that were caught doing their misdeeds that people think are funny???
Myself, I would NEVER do that to any of my dogs. I think it's mean and cruel to make them feel so bad and I feel it messes up their emotional well being. Dogs should always be happy, period. "Man's best friend", you know?

Well, if little otto ever does something wrong, and trust me, he have, many times, thats a thing between me and him. I never shame my human friends in public either. I fucking hate people who treat animals (both pets and "stock") like objects.

I've had two pugs die in the last couple years, one to age, the other had an inoperable tumor, so I've been watching alot of dog videos on youtube until a breeder near me has another litter available. That being said, there are some people who you can tell really love their dogs and want to share their quirkiness and joy with you. Then there are the people that while they may love their dog, they also don't mind causing them anxiety for the monetary benefits. Like that stupid challenge where they hold up a blanket, then vanish. Or stacking toilet paper in a doorway to force them to jump over it to reach them.
I miss coming home from work, even at 2am, and my dogs would be waiting by the door to greet me like I just won the lottery. You really never know how much you look forward to that feeling until it's no longer there.

Best feeling ever.

Lol! That second picture. "What do you mean deathsaves aren't permitted?"
So, last night a friend was over helping me button up a FH PF swap I was doing for him. My wife came into the room and was leaning on the bed talking to us. No one noticed my boxer had come in and laid on the floor behind her. I had fed him jerk chicken earlier that day and the dog let out the hugest dog fart I had ever heard. My friend looked up and said " damn woman, I've known you for a long time but I didn't think I knew you that well". My wifes face turned beet red and she couldn't say it was the dog because she was so embarrased. She finally said it was the dog and my friend said "yea right" and my wife left the room and didn't come back in the whole night. I love dogs.
Took Doug and Daisy to the vet today for their annual vaccinations . Finally got Doug on the scales and he came in at 55 kilos 121 pounds . Due to the coronavirus crap they were meant to be in separate rooms but they wouldn't be separated .

Instead of picking one of the couches or her dog bed, she chooses the uneven threshold between the living room and the porch. And she is almost 14, so she should be a comfort queen by this point!

Beautiful little guy.
I've had some come with names. I've had some name themselves by their actions, or something dear to me. Best wishes on a fitting name.
LTG : )
Quoted from Pbgixxer:We’re really having a hard time with a name .
1st thing I thought of was Bear.
2nd thing I thought of was Blacky.
But like LTG said, they will always name themselves also.

Looks like an "Otis" to me.
The easiest way to name him is to not focus on TRYING to name him.
Let the right name present itself. It always does.
Quoted from chuckwurt:Taking Max And Sam to the Vet Monday. I’m hoping we can go in with them. We shall see.
We took our dogs to get their shots last week and our vet came out to the parking lot and took them in, Dogs didn’t seem to thrilled about it.

I just talked to them and they are letting my wife and I come in with them. So that’s good. Max I wasn’t worried about. With Sam being new, I wanted to be with him.

When we took the dogs to the vet the other day they were very serious about it , one appointment in the clinic at a time , sanitising hands , you have to be wearing a mask , the dogs have to be in a separate room to you and no contact . If every business took this as seriously there would be no coronavirus .
We went to a local park but there were that many people there we decided to go to the beach . The dogs are afraid of the waves but after 5 minutes of coaxing they eventually went in the water .
Quoted from PinballFever:It's been about 25 years since my last dog but we're picking up a golden retriever puppy next weekend. Say hello to our puppy-to-be.
Say hi to Bella and her long blonde lashes.

When we took them a couple months ago we couldn’t go in. Now we can, but need to wear masks.

Our neighbor has a blonde Bella also. She comes to our kitchen door every afternoon to get her treat.
