Quoted from Who-Dey:Yeah my old Basset had 26 teeth pulled and several others were worn down to nothing and I made the statement to the vet that the dog would definitely be in a wet food diet now. He said he could still eat dry food probably as long as the kibble were small. He said most dogs dont chew their food up much anyways.
Well, most of the dry foods are supposed to be put in water.. Atleast all the kinds Ive always used. And its a great way to reduce the risk of calcium crystals forming in the urine bladder due to high pH of water.
Otto started pissing blood almost a year ago, today. I was in northern Sweden at the time, some 150 kilometres from nearest vet. To make a long story short, that was due to him drinking to little and since Ive always let his dry (Hills prescription diet c/d) kibbles soak for 30 mins before serving. Fuck me, cant remember beeing that scared ever.
(Oh yeah, the blood pissing was due to calcium strutuvite forming in his bladder.)
It's that time of year again. The fireworks have started to fly and Harley needs his emotional support hooman. Brittany couldn't give less of a shit about the fireworks, but will capitalize on any opportunity to make out with someone. 20200703_221127 (resized).jpg20200703_221951 (resized).jpg20200703_222019 (resized).jpg20200703_221536 (resized).jpg20200703_221520 (resized).jpg
I've been spending the evening with my boy also. I turn the TV up kinda loud so he doesn't hear the fireworks as much. That helps a little.
Quoted from Who-Dey:Jake isnt real thrilled about the 4th of July as you can see.

Looks more like ICBF
Started my 4th just swell... A tenant said the outside gfi wasn't working. After some investigation I determined why. Apparently the tech that was sent out to update fiber chose to drill too close to my power wire, through the back of my metal box, through the actual gfi, and was still pushing so hard it bent the flange that the device secured to the box with. Total bs as nothing was said he just moved over to the joist space that should have been used first and left after tripping the breaker that was right in front of him and surely ruining his arc'd up drill bit. So after being hot from 90s and hot under the collar from stupidity, some dog therapy was in order. Ahh cool dog and cool creek water much better!

Get'em Flash...
I'm lucky as my 2 babies are not bothered by fireworks at all. Toby was actively watching from the porch last night.

The Weimaraner isn’t really bothered by fireworks, she just has the “If it flies, it dies” mentality. She’s eaten so many bees and wasps that she’s now immune to them.

Yeah. I used to be a huge fan of pyrotechnics and then I got a dog. Changed my view totally.
Caught an intruder this morning in my backyard. I noticed Sat. there seemed to be something digging under my shed after the dogs alerted me to the problem and sure enough set my live trap and bam 2 hrs later I catch Chucky here. Taking him down to the park by Millcrest creek and release him. Glad I got him before he or the dogs got hurt! Ground hogs can do a lot of property damage if left to their devices for long.
Phil (resized).jpgPhil1 (resized).jpgYour buddy is a great looking boxer, you can see the gray creeping in, getting old like the rest of us!
Quoted from chuckwurt:That’s a great looking Heeler right there!
Thanks, He looks all blue heeler but is half Border Collie and super smart!

My late buddy Palmer was a heeler mix and did the same thing after he was done playing fetch too. There was no stick too big for him either. Haha.

Thanks. Hooter is an awesome dog and still going strong. Oh yeah, used to be jet black...
Quoted from RWH:Little pups are cute as hell taking their siesta.
The one in the back (of the above pic) hasn’t been promised to anyone yet. My wife wants to take him (as you can see from this pic). But our Doxie is around 17 and doesn’t see or hear much anymore. Not sure how he would handle a new pup in the house.
