Full emotions for Bernie this morning 1. Making sure I don’t go skiing without him 2. Not understanding the boat won’t start

so what is it with dogs eating panties? My boxer puppy came in the room acting really weird and yakked up a whole pair of my wife's squirrel covers then he was all good. he never heats my skivvies though. I guess there is things even a dog wont eat.

Nice collar! Does he have a matching muumuu?

Also, why is it that the comfier they get the less comfy it is for us humans?

Yeah but they're not as good looking.

Quoted from OhKeePaw:

Haha. Good catch! He doesn’t but I’d love to find some to put on him and Max. Max has the same collar.

Also, since Sam has a massive thick head like pits do, I’ve been walking around the house singing, “block-head was a man! With a horr rible disease.” Haha

#2611 3 years ago

Wow had to take my boy Toby to the vet today and first thing he asked me was if there rabbits around my house, found out he's got a parasite that comes from rabbits (wild). I had/have a small family of rabbits that took up residence this year under my backyard shed and he's apparently been finding and eating their poop. I'm going to have to relocate them.

#2612 3 years ago

Crazy! Is he okay? Just needs some meds or something?

#2613 3 years ago
Quoted from RWH:

Yeah but they're not as good looking.

I'm certain that's exactly what's going through his head. Now stop taking pics and put food in my dish

One of our girls, Ohkee, has a small lump on her head, so we of course sing, “Ohkee has a lumpy head” to her

Yeah he's okay and just has to take some meds for 21 days. Scared the hell out of me seeing blood in his stool but the vet says it's not all that uncommon and he'll be okay. Safe to say I'm going to have serve an eviction notice on the hopper family effective immediately.

#2617 3 years ago

Yeah I feel like a crazy person always inspecting my dogs’ shit but I will always do it.

#2618 3 years ago

My dog keeps going for the rabbit droppings too. I've tried to get rid of the rabbits but it is so tough with a low to the ground wooden deck. I actually need to tear the deck out and redo it, because of the rabbits I am thinking I will go concrete.

I have so many rabbits in my yard that it would be a waste of time to even try to get rid of them.

Yes, but why would you want to?

I have kind of the opposite situation. I live near some woods, and there are lots of rabbits...but I have 3 dogs, so they don't usually come nearby my house.

I actually dont want to get rid of them. I enjoy them truthfully. I spent the last two years trying to protect them from the red tail hawks every chance I could. I'm sure the neighbors probably thought i was nuts and didn't appreciate finding stuff in their yards that i would throw at the hawks. None of them said anything though because they all know I'm crazy enough to throw shit at them too.

I have a different problem over here , my dog's love Wallaby poo , to them it's like Chanel Number 5 , they can't get enough of it .

Can they contract anything from it? Mine just like bird poop and rabbit poop. I ended up fencing off (temporary) an area of about 10ft all the way around my shed as I don't think once the babies all leave so will the adult mother. So long as dogs can't get to them for now I'll just have to watch them when outside for the next week or two at most I think.

We’ve had Sam for a week and he’s doing great and fitting right in! Such a sweet happy boy.

The foster program said he was found about 5 months ago in TN chained to a tractor about 25-30 lbs lighter than he is now. So sad.

Today I noticed that his canines on the one side are almost worn down to a nub. I wonder if he tried to chew himself free. Heart breaking. So glad he’s safe now.

Wow Chuck that does not look good. Has the vet said anything about his teeth? Horrifying just thinking he must have been so desperate to wear his teeth like that, heartbreaking.

He’s been to a regular vet while getting his heart worm treatment, and they have said nothing about it. He also has a happy tail sore (common with dogs with hard tails like this)

Getting him set up at our vet next month and will have them look at these two things with me to see if it’s anything we should be concerned about.

He’s a chewer, loves his toys and eat well so I’m not overly concerned right now.

The good news is dogs can live without teeth. My old Basset Hound hardly had any at all left. Just gotta feed them soft food. My vet said they can even still eat dry food usually because most dogs don't chew it up much anyways. Hes a beautiful dog, it's a shame us shitty f*cking humans failed him.

#2636 3 years ago

Yeah. Just gonna give him extra love for the next 10-15 years. Haha

Chucky will definitely take care of him, theres no question about that. That dog is like a person that's had a terrible life and then they hit the lottery and they are on top of the world.

They don't eat Wallaby poo , they just like to roll in it sometimes . I think they want to smell like a Wallaby so they can sneak up on them . They've chased them a few times ( I don't encourage it ) but they are way too fast , but if they did corner one , the Wallabies would kick the shit out of them . Swamp Wallabies are a lot tougher than they look . It's not unusual to hear about a kangaroo or wallaby trying to drown a dog , they've had 1000's of years dealing with dingoes .

Looks pretty mean. Are they scared of people like if you were to approach one or will they stand up and fight you?

Generally Wallabies will run away as will most kangaroos but if you have a large grey or red male kangaroo chances are he'll rip your guts out . Even Wallabies will attack if they feel threatened .

Aww, he looks just like my daughter boyfriends dog that just passed Saturday.

Not sure exactly what happened he was happy and healthy and chasing chipmunks as he always did. He wanted out in the evening for his pee break laid down and passed!!

Don’t take our furry critters for granted!!

One day, we had to take our pup to the vet, where they took an x-ray of his stomach. He had eaten maybe an hour earlier. I swear you could see every single piece of kibble.

Yeah my old Basset had 26 teeth pulled and several others were worn down to nothing and I made the statement to the vet that the dog would definitely be in a wet food diet now. He said he could still eat dry food probably as long as the kibble were small. He said most dogs dont chew their food up much anyways.
