Quoted from oldskool1969:

My rescue dog is a shit, continues to be a shit and will always be a shit.
But he is my shit and after 4 years he is still shit.
BUT I LOVE HIM SO!
I got a fur baby which matches my personality. ha ha
Even Batman can't tame him[quoted image]

Yeah but he's a pretty little shit.

Not pretty but a handsome or good looking shit

Our Rottweiler named princess. Picked her up from the humane society and saved her life. She knows this is her home now. She took about a year to break down those walls but if you know this breed the you know what we got. Greatness

My buddy brought his two dogs over the other night. It was nice having furry friends in the house since losing mine a couple months ago.

This is perhaps my favorite thread - the mellow, feel good thread on pinside. So, I had to post a shot or two of Keldon, our now retired CCI dog.

Quoted from oldskool1969:

Ah- my bad for leaving that hanging.
Canine Companions for Independence. Basically a assistance dog for people with disabilities (wheelchair bound folks, folks with Autism, etc.) very specifically bread for generations to be assistance animals. Amazing dogs. Keldon has been with us 12 years.
See cci.org

Thanks for asking.

Gosh yes, no political bs or arguing or offended people or judgemental people in this thread, just full blown dog lovers. This is easily my favorite thread.

I have 2 Thai Ridgebacks and the boy is a nightmare, he is 2 1/2 now and can’t be trusted. Beautiful dogs but very hard to train.
Great guard dogs though.

I've been following this thread for years... our pets are like kids, they bring so much joy in our lives

#1839 4 years ago

We had the great chipmunk chase last night. Kitty brought it thru the pet door and upstairs. At this point all three dogs take off after the terrified thing. Fortunitly I was able to confine it to the laundry room and toss a towel over it. I then took the dogs new toy outside and released it in the woods. Sorry no pics, it was too frantic.

My dog has issues. He loves me and my family, but gets puffy and growls at other people, even people he knows. I don't think its a real aggressive growling as he will growl then a couple seconds later, lick peoples hands and wag his tail. He will even bring toys for people to play tug/fetch with him, but doesn't like people touching him.
It's a pain because he comes to work with me everyday. I tell people, when they come in the door, just to ignore him and generally all is well. But, there's close interaction so his weird behavior happens multiple times per day.
I got him when he was about 1yr old from a rescue, so I don't know his history. I think he is a really good dog, I don't know if he's protective or just not trusting of people.
Has anyone tried CBD oil on their dog? I'm wondering if it may help his "anxiety"? I texted our vet this morning to get his opinion.

Try hemp chews for dogs. They worked on my dog as she was getting anxiety in her older years. They calmed her down and she had no problem with digestion either. You can get them at pretty much any pet store or online.

Here’s our two Newfoundland’s.

Savannah is a 2 year old gorgeous black female.

Sawyer is a new male puppy we just got 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately we found out he has a heart murmur 2 days before we got him which was devastating. We still wanted him, we named him already so he was ours right ? We see the cardiologist next week wish us luck ! : )

I have a Pet meds question.
I have a 15yr old dachshund
He is having trouble with his mobility lately
(as well as his sight and hearing going).
We tried a vet prescribed anti inflammatory (Rimadyl) which did help significantly,
but one side effect is that it screws with his liver
(according to the vet and blood tests confirming such).
We are looking into trying some CBD oils or pills for him
that will help his pain and mobility
and also calm him down some.
(He has tended to bark more lately) .
Anyone have any recommendations or pet oriented websites for CBDs.
