Quoted from BigB:Hey everyone. This is Bolt. He was 9 weeks old and weighed 8 lbs. when we brought him home. Now he's 17 weeks old and weighs 22 lbs. He has gained 14lbs. in just 8 weeks. He's a TANK! We still love him!
Handsome boy. I live his mask.
Quoted from Atari_Daze:They look like best good friends!
Looks can be deceiving. Harley is pretty indifferent. He’s older now and pretty much just likes to do his own thing. Brittany, however, adores him and is always wanting to be right on him. In fact she pretty much has to have some body contact at all times. She’s on my leg as I typed this.
Well Cooper stole my wallet out of my pants last night.
Cash and credit cards found on the stairs and bedroom floor.
No sign of the wallet itself. Will have to search outside.
I think Jack may have helped, he likes to gut & shred his toys.

COOPR (resized).jpgjack1 (resized).jpgIt appears to me that they have been plotting this heist for a while now.
I can see the guilt in their eyes.

It will be a lengthy trial, but the truth will come out.
Quoted from ImNotNorm:Early morning walk with Matilda my black lab. She'll be 2 years old in September.
I'm dangling the Frisbee behind the camera in the first picture. She is obsessed with her Frisbee's!

I agree. Summers I'm always up earlier...must be my internal clock

That kind of looks like me back when i used to drink alot.
Quoted from gliebig:Just rescued this little bugger this weekend. He was in a kill shelter down south. I think he's going to be a real nice dog. He comes to work with me every day and is on constant squirrel lookout.[quoted image][quoted image]
Wow he’s beautiful, great find there! Rescuing is the best way to get a dog, I’ll never do it any other way.
I found some old pics of when we first got Harley. It was a week before Halloween in 2009. And he was already almost 2 when we got him. He was skin and bones in the first pic. I could see his hip bones and his fur is about 2 inches long. 2nd pic is after about 2 months when he started putting on a little weight. It's hard to believe that it's been almost 9 years already.20744_232771761813_7989593_n (resized).jpg20744_232771826813_232350_n (resized).jpg
Since we are on the topic of dogs, can anyone tell me what to do about a stinky itchy dog. I have a rescue American Bulldog and she is a real stinker. I bathe her weekly and she smells the day after and she is constantly scratching especially in the summer time. I just bought a box of Dynovite to see if that helps but I haven't received it yet.

How long have you had her? Could she possibly have skin mites?
Could she be allergic to her food? If it has grains, it can cause itching and skin problems. When we first got Harley, he farted so often and it smelled so bad he would regularly clear rooms. Switched him to a grain free food and haven't had a problem since.
Also, We have very bad pollen down here and believe it or not, dogs are very susceptible to allergies and spring and summer can be hell on them. I learned that from my vet.

What color is she?
Quoted from mario_1_up:This is primarily what my dogs do all day. Sleeping and waiting for food.
If you had them fixed. Eating and sleeping is all that is left.

You shouldn't bath your dog more than once a month and make sure that you use dog shampoo when you bathe her. You may be damaging the dogs skin from bathing her too often and that is why she is itching possibly. Also try a quality grain free food and no beef or beef flavors.
Some dogs also have allergies from pollen and other things in the air also. My dog has horrible allergies and im trying to figure out if its from food or if its seasonal allergies right now. He is so miserable that he is on allergy meds every day. I feel bad for him.
Love this thread and love dogs! Especially the photos.
I rescued a terrier mix puppy from the pound. Best dog ever. She was always with me when I went camping and fishing for 12 years. Never had to worry about her running off when she wandered around the lakes and rivers. I'll try to find and post a picture of her later.
Not my dog but I thought this was funny.

Sorry to hear about Charlie, he was beautiful. Looks like he had a nice home and was loved and well taken care of. I am always happy to see that, there are lots of animals that arent so lucky unfortunately. We adopted my dog and he is a great dog but i fear that he was abused before we got him. We have never laid a hand on him or even yelled at him but the other day i got the fly swatter out to kill a fly and he went nuts. He ran to the corner and started crying because he thought that he was going to get beat. That broke my heart. Charlie looked like he was a great dog, i just get that feeling from the picture.
There just isn't a better image than an animal so at peace it will crash in the most awkward positions just to be next to you.
Firkin love it

Totally. Some times it looks so comfortable:

Sometimes less so. Sadly, I woke him up when I moved to take this picture, but he'd conked out like that.

Evie is the newest addition to our family.
She is assumed by the rescue organization to be Jack Russell/Border Collie mix. Her siblings had more of a Jack Russell coloring, but all of them had natural bob-tails (very short tails). I'm wondering if there's Corgi in there due to the tails. No idea how big she'll get. In the pic, she's laying on our Chihuahua mix so you can get a sense of scale.
