I have stairs built for the couch, bed, and back patio. I have a 10 year old and 13 year old dachshund. The 10 year old has never had issues, the older one had surgery a year ago (compressed disc). He walks fine, can walk up patio stairs, but the stairs to upstairs are too much for him so I carry him.

She chews them off, but that is the one she can't get her teeth into to chew on. They all go to groomer every 3-4 months, I let them deal with their toenails. We don't have carpet, otherwise that would be an issue.
Nope. See my avatar? That is the light of my life, my daughters supposed screw up 3 years ago that I love to pieces. She loves that bird. She feeds him, dances for him and sits for hours just watching him. She tells the people at the zoo, the Houston zoo has three of them, that she has a Blue Throat Macaw whose name is Geri and probably knows more about them than the zoo keepers do. She will take over when I can no longer care for him.

If she is chewing them off that probably means they are bothering her and maybe even painful to her. It is recommended to cut a dogs nails about every 4 weeks on the average. Keeping the nails trimmed monthly will also keep the quick from getting too long.
Im not saying this to be a dick or anything either so please dont take it that way but 3 or 4 months is just way too long to let a dogs nails go. That especially applies to most Bassets since they tend to be on the lazy side and don't run around enough to keeo their nails ground down lol. Some dogs are so active that they probably can go 3 months without cutting their toenails but Bassets not so much probably.
My Basset is fairly young and extremely active and full of energy but his nails grow super fast anyway for some reason and i have to cit them every month or he slices my stomach open when he jumps on me.

What do you think? he said “ you’re a dumb ass”. Actually I have been told not to teach him to cuss because Josie has the vocabulary of a adult and she just says whatever she hears. I called her dog a fat ass once and next thing I know she is calling him fat ass.

Lol that’s hilarious. Man i used to go to this bar a long time ago and they had a bird in there that dropped F Bombs constantly! The owner was an old man and he would take a fly swatter to that bird when it started cussing too much. It was hilarious.
I had a Harlequin macaw for about 10 years. The biggest macaw there is except for the hyacinth macaw. I took him back to the store I got him from probably 10 times because he was such a shit. They finally just told me to bring him there and they would bird sit any time I needed a break. He would get into peoples cars, he got into a van full of Mexicans once and they were coming out of every door and window. He would kick a dog or cats ass. I grew to love that bird and there was no way I would actually sell him. I had a altercation with one of these ghetto rats who threatened me. I forgot that I was 45 and white and he was 30 and black. He tried to bite me and I hit him in the face and knocked him out of my door. He called the cops and told them I assaulted him and the cops just laughed at him. about 3 months later he drove up in a car with fake plates and grabbed my bird and threw him in the car and took off. I offered a $3000 reward but I never saw him again. Geri is a replacement, not really but he is cool in his own way. He thinks he is a dog

Please tell me you are joking or made a mistake about my daughter before I tell you " fuck you and the horse you rode in on" I never mentioned my daughter in this thread. She made a mistake like a lot of people do. She has rectified that and is a year away from graduating with a teaching degree and will marry a great guy if nothing happens. As angry as I was I wouldn't change anything. She got her shit together and has been asked to join the deans list. As far as me having a problem with blacks, you sell used cars in the hood and tell me you wont have any problems, ever. The guy gave me false information and then when I got the right information got mad when I wouldn't sell to him because he had 3 repos. He wanted his application back and when I wouldn't give it to him he came into my office and took it out of my hand. When I tried to take it back he tried to bit me. What would you do.
