sadly bowie has lost most of her mobility. we are taking it one day at a time.

at 17 years and 7 months, time is nearly up.

we still carry her down to the beach every afternoon when things are cooler. she still loves watching the world pass by.

my wife and i will know when the time is right. though we have her right now.

We feel for you.

My wife and I are at nearly the same point
with our 19-1/2 yr old cat Jack.
It will be a hard decision to make, if need be,
when that time comes, when quality of life
vs. selfishness of wanting to keep him in our life
will have to be made.
On top of having to let our Dog Dewey go,
just 6 months previous
after having him with us for 17 yrs.

You are having a great run. Longer than anyone I personally know. I have gone through this too many times and know what you are thinking. I feel for you as well as Bowie.

Little OTTO declaring christmas is over![quoted image]

I saw Little OTTO in the park yesterday .
He froze when he saw my two coming towards him , and when we were about a metre away he took off like a rocket .
I said to my wife that was Little OTTO !
Then I had to explain who he was

Usually our queen size bed is enough for the Mrs. the dog and myself, when Ben lays parallel to us, but when perpendicular... No wonder I wake up falling out the side lol

Got some sad news from my sister today.
Her 17.5yr old mini doxie (Rowzee) was put down today, with congestive heart failure.
She was also mostly blind and deaf, but able to still get around fairly well, until the end.

Jackass trying to get the last cookie out of the box. He was running around banging into everything. He did not panic just intent on getting the cookie. My wife did pull the box off of his head.

Went to see the dog I am interested in at a rehoming centre today, great temperament. Not an ounce of aggression, very lively and hungry. Brought treats and he was hunting for them in a good way. Unfortunately while in their care he ate a blanket and had to have surgery to get it out, my dog ate our leather sofa and survived without intervention. I bet he would have been ok, poor thing.

Will see him again this week and someone is coming to check my house out to make sure he will be ok here, all good here for sure.

My dog (blue/silver) is way too chilled so time for a change

Ha, that is great. Here is another of her on top of our CUV, that she managed to climb up instantaneously from the back after I signaled for her to go inside. (You can see the scratches she made pulling herself up) I still don't fully understand how she did it, I just know she was trying to do what I was asking and misunderstood...

Help, I'm stuck. (resized).pngOk, seriously, help me down. (resized).png

Dogs are the best. Like em more than most humans. Our golden retriever,Boo, has been the most obedient, smart, lovable dog I have ever had. Will be sad when I lose him. Our other 2 keep him young tho and each has their own personality. All 3 are just like our other kids. Man’s best friend!!!!

Nothing quite like the feeling of those beady little eyes staring at you.

Time to rise and shine. Somebody wants out.
