Hey it’s our Max’s 9th bday tomorrow!
Quoted from ShinyBall:After surgery..
Prescription: No Squirrels for 2 weeks.
After the drugs wear off, he is going to be difficult.
[quoted image]
I had a dog who had ACL surgery. It broke my heart when his meds wore off. He just laid there crying, and I couldn't do anything to help him.

its heartbreaking !
Quoted from Lostcause:One day I will have the balls to her free out in the open, very strong prey drive and fast. Way too fast for me![quoted image]
Wouldn't an empty Beach be the place to start ?
I know what you mean though , my two don't play nice and if we see anyone in the distance on wheels or with a dog they go straight back on the lead and also when we approach a corner and we can't see what's coming ahead .

Always dog walkers on this beech, so tempted but can’t be doing with the stress of her disappearing or getting into a fight as other dogs growl at her but she just ignores them usually but I know what she can do in the blink of an eye. Advice for this breed is only let free in a contained area, and with the other one in my mind that I had to put down recently as he was a killer it’s hard.
I let her out of my car a few weeks ago and she normally jumps out and into the front of the house but she ignored me and went next door to a wake that I was invited too, I had a bottle of whiskey in one hand and milk in the other and had to apologise. The whiskey was for someone who worked on my car and not the wake, was so embarrassing! People look at her and say what is that lol

That's how I felt when we had greyhounds, and if one ever snuck out the front door, good luck.
They could / would be a street or two over by the time we could drive and catch up.
Yes, I said drive!
Still miss fostering those gentle giants.
Poor Louie doesn't get a moments peace with the new puppy. She even bugs him when he goes into his crate to hide from her.
I say screw him,he was a little pest to the adult Jack Russell,I brought him home to,when he was a puppy.

P82A0023 (resized).JPGJust said goodbye to my old Labrador Dudley, I had to give him to my son 4 years ago who only lives 2 houses away. I took on a new dog that wanted to kill him as he got older and bigger, I put that dog down last year as too dangerous.
He had a healthy life and is now nearly 14 years old, time to go as in poor health. First time my son is putting a dog to sleep
One of the nicest looking labs I have seen, I still have signs of his destruction in my garden. He loved the grade A teak garden table and chairs, also the timber door steps which I only replaced last year. All 5 of them!
Bless him, RIP Dudley.

Dudley looks like a beautiful boy , my heart goes out to you and your family .
I used to shake my head when they would eat the furniture , but now it makes me smile and reminds me of happy times .

I wasn’t smiling while I was digging out the old timber steps last year, but I am now lol
He was at my sons wedding so him and his wife are devastated, they have had 2 kids since getting him.
Found another photo, hopefully he now meets his buddy.

So sorry for your loss,I know how heartbroken you are .
Lostcause sorry to hear about passing of Dudley, 14 years is a great life 98 human years.
Doesn’t ease the pain, reading about Dudley brings back memories for me.
It get a little easier as time passes, but you don’t forget about them
Quoted from ralphs007:Here's Daisy at 18 weeks. A new puppy is a lot of work, but so worth it !

I think it is very funny that dogs want to get as high up in the room as they can. My dogs have always fought to who can lay on top of the couch back. Mine iwas against the window..and when I replaced that couch I made sure the next couch had that wider soft cushion that they could again lay on it. I even put a old dog crate under the window with a dog pillow to get the sun, now they run to get to that spot 1st..and the other dog lays on top of the back of the couch or against it. Just like people they work it out.
