That's hard to watch, I been building one of those for like a decade or so now, and it is just a chromed out money pit...This Princess certainly doesn't get to play her's (Little Jelious)
Quoted from FuryosJustin:Our country may be under lockdown... But round here, lock is lit
Going my way?[quoted image]
Great pair! (and I'm referring to the games )
Support I deserve?? HA!!! Love her dearly but absolutely NOT into ANY of my games. She will OCCASIONALLY oblige me but not often
Quoted from Cobra:Would post another but I would have to put a smiley face somewhere. Lol
"We'll,.....we're waiting".
John
Quoted from Cobra:Ok since you are waiting. [quoted image]
Looks like she is searching for her ball that got stuck somewhere.....
Quoted from Cobra:From the front next time.
Looks like Elvira is getting the best view
Quoted from Cobra:Last one. Will have to take more one night soon. From the front next time.[quoted image]
Awesome, she would go great in this thread, https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/attempting-to-start-a-trend-citpp
A perfect way to revive it!
Brian
Quoted from spida1a:The girlfriend is new to pinball but already I can tell she’s hooked.

I just finished tagging all the pinball machines seen in that thread.
....
I know....me either
Ex-wife hated pinball and the constantly changing lineup (hauling in and out of games).
Funny enough anytime we'd have ppl over it was "Oh come and see OUR game room"..
Also I was fixing machines for a guy on my days off (shift work at the time) in exchange for shoes/sports gear for our kids - guy owned a few New Balance stores. She didn't mind getting "free" stuff thanks to my hobby...
When the time came to go our separate ways I sold everything to avoid the situation of "well YOU have your pinballs and they are worth a fortune".
Fast forward to now after a 10 year break from the hobby. Decided to get back into it in 2019 with a STTNG - I had owned a few and both my GF and I are TNG trekkies. Figured it was the best way to expose her to the hobby. She thought pinball was nothing more than "don't let the ball drain". Once she realized you could actually aim at stuff and once she started understanding the rules she was hooked. I mostly added games that I figured would be easy to understand or that she was excited about the theme. Her skills have improved dramatically. Post passes, slap saves, and she is uncanningly good at flip trap. Still trying to teach her drop catch and bounce pass.
Now she moved in a few months ago. We play pretty much every day. Usually not doubles as she doesn't like waiting. I always seem to have awesome games when we play doubles and have super long ball times. I love it when she says "I'm going to pinball. Bye".. LOL
The only game I let go was Roadshow in order to make space(and $$) for WOZ. She misses it but loves WOZ. She tends to change her mind about her favorite game but right now it's MMr. She feels it's the only one right now she has a chance of actually getting close to finishing. She did see me win BFTK not too long ago. She gets to Final Frontier somewhat regularly on STTNG (usually with a few add-a-balls).
She really liked Walking Dead and Metallica we played at a fellow collector's place before COVID but right now the 2 games we want in the house are SW (Prem/LE) and Wonka. Dr Who and RFM/SWEP1 will be the ones out to make space (and $$ of course).
She is into the modding too. She bought me the goat for XMas for JPLE.
Did I say she is awesome?? She is
Anyway for some reason I couldn't find a pic of her playing but I did find a short clip of her first game on WOZ.

Happy for ya brutha. Your story sounds almost identical to mine. She doesn’t play pinball, but she entertains our guests when they come over and the pins are her babies.
Quoted from Cobra:Merry Christmas !!!!

Great smile...among other things.
I'm the wife. The first machine was my fault. He was super cool about spending the money on something he wasn't into, driving to buy it and moving it into the house, but I didn't think he would play it more than a few times.
Now we have three and the high score competition can get brutal.
