Of course he is. It's some people's jobs to check classified ads. Here's a good one. I was going to junk a car not too long ago, but I decided to throw it up on Craigslist for two days until I got hold of the junker.

This is the ad I posted:
2004 Black Chevy Impala - $1000 OBO

***Selling a 2004 Black Chevy Impala with 160k miles. Was running decent but is now overheating. Not trying to screw anybody so you'll only get the bad.

Engine Overheating
Dent on hood
Hail damage
Scrapes and scratches on body
Gauges don't work
Driver's window sometimes won't roll up. Needs new window switch
Rear passenger window has broken motor assembly
Stains on the floor
Leather seats worn out
Steering wheel worn badly
A/C lukewarm
Needs new brakes
Burn in passenger seat and back seat.
Smells like smoke
Michigan owned - rusty undercarriage
Has not had recall work done

I believe this would basically be a parts car, unless you can do the work yourself.***

After getting a text asking if it was still available and an email address, this is the email I received:

Thanks for getting back to me and i appreciate your prompt reply..I am
presently out of town now.. I am buying this for my son as a surprise
gift. However, does it have any history I should be aware of? and why
are you selling if you don't mind my asking and I will really
appreciate if you can email more info and if possible more photos. I
can only pay through Paypal at the moment as i don't have access to
my bank account online(i don't have internet banking with it), but i
have it attached to my Paypal account, and this is why i insisted on
using Paypal to pay,all i will need is your Paypal email address to
make the payment, and if you don't have a Paypal account yet, you can
set one it cant take you less than 3mins to do that, i will be
expecting your Paypal email so l can pay
and your phone number. I have a pick up agent that will come for the
pick up after payment has been sorted, l will be waiting for your
reply asap. James Thomas

So he wants to surprise his son with it? Does it have any issues?

Needless to say, there was some stringing along until I finally got under his skin enough for him to tell me "cool no problem i will surly get you and kill you with your family you this useless animal"

Thanks for the laughs James Thomas!

That is hilarious.

I actually told him I was elderly and couldn't figure out my phone's email, and had him resend his message a few times. He got pissed and told me that I was "so poor. why don't you sell your car and go buy a new phone."

I eventually told him that the $1000 price tag had some fluctuations. It was now $5000 if he wanted to pay through paypal, but only $50 if he wanted to pay in cash.

That's when he said he was going to "kill me with my family."
