Technically yes, it is a pinball machine. Since pinball machines were named such after the pins that would bounce the ball around and have them land in different payout/point holes. So at a basic level it is a pinball machine, however it is not a flipper pinball machine. More like a giant version of Plinko from price is right.

thats what I thought when I saw it. LOL!

True, but it's not exactly a game of skill. More like the world's largest "Plinko" game (of The Price is Right fame).

Yeah, you're not actually deciding how hard to hit the ball. It's on a conveyor belt

If the device lacks flippers and a working plunger, I can't really convince myself it is pinball.

On the other hand, pinsiders haven't lived till they have played Hercules. Its sort of like visiting Graceland. I'm not entirely sure its at the PHOF still, but they do bring it yearly for the Pacific Pinball Expo.

Lyons Pinball has a Hercules (in Colorado).

I have fond memories of playing Hercules as a kid at the Fiesta Fun Center in the Contemporary Resort Hotel in Walt Disney World. I was only seven or eight years old at the time, so it was pretty much the coolest thing I had ever seen. In fact, that entire arcade was awesome. It's been a long time, but I seem to recall about twenty or so pins all lined up against one wall. They also had a really cool shooting gallery in the back.

Pachinko, my uncle had one in his bar. My aunt played it all the time. 25 balls and 25 holes with a cartoon theme, Popeye the sailor.
