Does the length in bumper rods matter?

    I had to replace a coil for firepower. When installed another rod/ring in I noticed after, that the amount of thread that poked through the yokes was less than the others.
    I didn’t think it would matter but I notice that that pop seems to sometimes not fill contract if hit lightly. Curious if the difference and length could be making an issue.

    I would think that the length from the ring to the start of the threads it critical. Did you put on washers onto the rods?
    (Speaking from experience....)

    I did put washers. They were on the pf side vs the coil side
    But the threads were quite a bit shorter ?
    Are they the wrong rod?

    Like dr_nybble said, the length from the ring to where the thread starts is what matters, not the length of the thread

    Yes, makes big difference on how sensitive the popper operates and how much force is exerted when the coil fires.
